**Official Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H Discussion Thread**

No crash to desktop, complete freeze or signal loss to monitor and freeze.

Only twice out of the many many times it has done this has it actually created a dump file (which both included direct x and nvidia), and it does it on every single game :(

it was set to auto and has been since i got this board back when it came out, and this problem only started a few weeks ago.

Just bumped it up to 1.15 and that has got rid of my DPC latency problem that has plagued me for months, so thanks for that :).

Have to do some more sleuthing to see if it fixes these freezes.

Sorry to kinda not read the whole thread but I have been having a problem with playing videos and almost like it's speeding up a few frames every so often and I think it might be the DPC latency as when it happens it does rise ever so slightly but still in the green. Am I right in saying that you solved your problem by upping the voltage to your memory? I have noticed Far Cry 3 is actually doing the same thing as the videos come to think of it. The frame rate isn't changing but it just feels strange. Also it wasn't happening till a few weeks ago.

Edit: I notice we have the same ram as well.

I couldn't seem to change the setting as I think it's a option in another menu but I really haven't looked at the settings for this mobo yet so will do that over the weekend. However I did change something from disabled to profile1 and would you look at that. Latency is gone in videos and in Far Cry 3 heh.

Yeah check me out and I the master geek of these forums. If anyone has any overclocking questions and wants to know how to apply the icecream to get the best scores on your clocks then come to me and I will show you how to voltage your north bridge.

Soundslike you enabled xmp,it sets up your memory speed/timings/voltages including qpi/vtt,good job on that;)
Unfortunately XMP did not set Vtt/IMC voltage,so it's stay on default.
Usually XMP set higher Vdimm voltage then 1.65V.
Basic...if you have 2x4GB RAM....manually set Vtt to 1.10V and 2x8 (4x4)GB set Vtt to 1.15V.

i have an issue. i have 5 hard drives, a bluray drive and a recently added dvd-rw. my blu ray is a reader only - doh!

i have power and everything connected correctly but the dvd-rw is not detected. i've switched scables and ports but nowt. blu ray is detected fine.

1 have an ssd and a 2tb plugged into the sata 3 ports, the other stuff in the other 6 ports. is there a maximum win 8 detects? or is it a mobo prob. running F14 bios.

I am sorry to tell you, but changing your motherboard may not prevent BSOD. These errors can have a number of causes, including over heating, unstable overclocks.

You're asking in a UD5H thread which motherboard you should have for a 3770k? Everyone here is going to say the UD5H. The motherboard you currently have. Because we are all very happy with this motherboard and we don't get BSODs. You really need to troubleshoot your setup and Windows 7 install because it's most likely a driver issue and not a motherboard one.
