What a load of *****, got into the avenger stalker engine would not start so restarted the game, next could not open the cockpit door so restarted game, next could not open the cockpit door again tried to get out of the ship could not open the main door so was locked in, restarted the game and got the last problem again.
Another DAYZ in the making i can feel it LOL
if i had spent £100s i would be fuming tbh but hey hooo it was £26 cya next year.

Irrelevant how much you spent tbh, it's an alpha so there is going to be bugs, sometimes I get frustrated with it but other days I have little to no issues.
Report the bugs on the issue counsel or as you say come back at a later time.
So the current alpha 3.0 is not playable for me. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have to use Steam Streaming due to lack of space in the house for a dedicated gaming spot. With Splashtop I can launch and get the game running but its laggy and the mouse won't work properly; this is normal to be honest so I only use splashtop for games like Civ or other RTS.
However, unlike other games that once launched either via splashtop or steam work fine, the new alpha 3.0 will not load, just sits at a black screen now. I've tried for over a couple of days now to get this working and I can't. Have a ticket with RSI now to ask if this is going to be resolved or is this a consequence of their engine changes, but I'm likely to have to request a refund as I won't be able to play as I won't be getting a dedicated PC space any time soon.
Real shame, I've been looking forward to 3.0 for sometime, but in this form I will be getting practically a full refund I think unless CIG can get it working. Alpha 2.6 and before worked before the update, so something within the engine has now changed to stop this working.

Blizzard it's not going to be designed for use with services like Splashtop, although granted it's still classed as in-alpha so maybe that'll change when they sort the damn thing out.
If I were you I'd grab a refund now as they may not offer them in the future. You can always back if/when it ever comes out.

Yeah I appreciate that for splashtop, I just used it to update the launcher and then ran the exe direct from within steam... For 3.0 they've changed it so that launching the exe directly loads the launcher and for whatever reason Steam cannot grab that application unlike every other game!
Its a real shame, and I'll get a refund close to $1000 NZD if I get everything refunded. With the size of my house, I don't have space for a PC with 2 kids and I don't even know when that might change... I'm tempted to keep in with a Cutlass Blue and an aurora game package just in case and refund my connie, avenger, rover and credit but I'll see what the CIG plans are for the engine.

Yeah i understand at this scale from how we came from 20 years ago it is mind blowing , i think they need to stick to there guns and not bring patches out till there a bit more completed.
Yes we got 3.0 for Xmas but when only a handful get it working is not really good in my opinion, there trying to impress the media and the fans and I can see this back firing if they carry on its such a damn shame.
Anyway if anyone wants to take me to a planet it would be much appreciated i wanna try the graphics at 4k and see this beautiful game, I tried yesterday but the in-game chat would not work either so I am completly stuck lol

Totally get where you're coming from, it's a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation and they gave in to the backers and pushed it to live too soon.
I will happily take you for a spin around the system, I will message you when I'm next on, hopefully later today, if not definitely tomorrow.
Its way more than a handful though. Thays really selling short how many are in. For the reason why they released, check out what CR wrote Xmas eve.

how many have tried 3.0 now that its out?
I have, it is hit and miss, managed a good few hours with humbug a few days back but tried last night and weird things/bugs made me give up
Where are you even guestimating figures from though. Its open to the backers complete but we have no idea how many have tried to play to how many are able to play?
We dont even know what is the real figure for the 1.9 million players considering the number that have alt accounts.

I had a good run with it last night, turned my nas off and got a good frame rate on ultra. Think I might have hit a problem though got two ships ones on daymar the others on yela and I think I'm going to start on crusader. "TAXI!"

I know there will be alt acc but there's 1.9 M+ even with 2 each that's still nearly 1M, No ?
Update someone Lent me a ship on the way to a planet yay lol
The dude stopped back and managed to get into my ship via outside an option at a certain point came up, not good but its a quick fix.
Managed to get to the planet, land explore got back into the ship turned power on and it did a flip over stunt LOL, oh well that enough for me for a long time until its more playable.
