3.20.1

Pyro Jump gate is now physically in Stanton, if you can find it.... its in a blue gas cloud.

Also the replication layer is now decoupled from servers...

Technically they have made it 3.21.0 for this patch now. Makes sense if it a new branch of code to pull things to allow the replication later to be tested later and then dropped in a 3.21.X patch.

Good step forward with that though. Is a possibility that 30ks are fixed, well hidden when that working cause you'll not notice as it moves you from one shard to another.

So the new locations (the three jump points) are being added so they can get the stations in and this will give the Hull C some longer trade routes setup and get ready to link to the revised simulation of trade from the latest patch notes/monthly report.

Patch notes
Locations
  • New Jump Point Rest Stop Stations and Lagrange Points
Addition of 3 additional Rest Stops to Stanton that act as the final stop before entering Jump Points. Each location is set up similarly to all the other Lagrange Points and consists of a parent Gas Cloud, a smaller Child Gas Cloud, a Gateway Rest Stop and and structures leading to the Jump Point itself. It is important to note that Jump Points are currently non-functional in 3.21 as Stanton is the only available system at this time and right now.

These 3 new Stations with Jump Points that leave the Stanton System are:
- Pyro Gateway - (Stanton>Pyro)
- Magnus Gateway - (Stanton>Magnus)
- Terra Gateway - (Stanton>Terra)
Monthly report
The Economy team set up shops at three jump-point stations to provide the Hull C and other cargo ships with additional trade routes. They also worked on rebalancing commodity trading in Stanton and Pyro as part of a larger initiative to improve the gameplay experience for haulers and traders.

Economy then supported other teams, such as Character Art and Interactables, with pricing for new player equipment. Lastly, the tool that extracts live game data to help inform the profitability of various gameplay loops and assist in balancing was completed.

But three locations are relatively similar of course. Not sure it adds a lot really. But they look kinda pretty now and also they are the first of axis to the general star system locations meaning that you have very specifically new trade routes if you jump too and from locations now that wont intersect along the same plains as current routes. When they get the planets rotating within the game engine these constant movements of travel lanes will make things feel a whole lot better for the whole space travel/exploration and such. There can be things that are on all sorts of locations to be found in that space rather than basically just along the predefined travel/trade lines we have now.

Like everyother game with AI using swords (or whatever this is) in combat it doesn't work because all that prancing around gives you more that enough time to step out of the way and Indiana Jones the sword wielding numpty.

I personally don't have any issue with this. They can literally use movement warp as needed and speed up animations to adjust the dodge time as per any other game with melee combat of some sort. Take dying light for instance that is awful for AI being deadly, add on the 100 other of them and getting swamped though and suddenly there can be a challenge. Add another 1 or 2 Vanduul and then time all your dodges as they attack ;)

Also note that clip is from over 2yrs ago also, it was embedded in a monthly report where they were like "testing first iteration of Vanduul in combat".

It has been a very busy active win to say the least!!!

Replication layer seperattion and Server meshing becoming more than just a pipe dream?

Find a dev in game and they'll have a gold or platinum ticket on them. Get the ticket and you'll have a service wide beacon on you. Survive and get the ticket to a kiosk to exchange it and you'll unlock the F8C to buy(£) or with a platinum ticket for free with LTI.

An extremely limited number of special licenses have been hidden across Stanton, and you have ten days to find one and claim it for a chance to secure the most formidable solo fighter in the 'verse, the F8C Lightning. Beware though, as some of these prizes will put a huge target on your back, and nowhere will be safe when the entire system is looking to pry your license from your cold dead hands.

The Halloween stuff is back as well.

Seems finding the gold tickets is a piece of cake. People on reddit finding 1 or even 2 in the first bunker they went into. Mate of mine found one within an hour, so can now buy one for £260.
If they let the ship become widespread through the player base they're going to have to nerf it, it'll ruin the PvP meta. Seems to be as agile as the light/medium fighters, whilst having the shields and armour of a Vanguard, all whilst having the most dps of any ingame fighter.
