Update Warning: 3.21 has a nearly 34gb patch diff from 3.20 LIVE
Pyro??

Managed to get a golden ticket while the server was waiting to reset with help from someone on Reddit. Bought one with credit on the off-chance i want one later down the line. I wanted a combat ship like the Sabre or Scorpius, and thanks to CCU abuse its gonna be significantly cheaper to buy most ships compared to a $300 F8C. I can get a Polaris for $42.50 LESS ffs (i know i can get it to under $190 using past warbond offers and spending $20 cash. Less depending on future CCU price changes etc). The F8C is always going to cost a flat $300 cos it cant be exploited. Best you can do is buy grey market credit at half price. However, while that makes a $300 F8C cost $150 on the pocket, that can also make a Scorpius half price too, on top of abusing CCU price changes and warbond savings.

Just the jump gates.

Still chugging along at sub 40 fps despite this now being on 10 year newer hardware it quite shameful at this point.

Server meshing excuses aside they need to put up or shut down at this point.

So just watched the streaming tech, looks like they've actually cracked it. Was pretty impressive to see it working and how the servers would transfer the ownership and also not see clients not required... Sure the big test will be scaling it up to server scale but given FPS and AI is tied to server ticks and with a single server running everything it doesn't work, this should when online, make the frame rate be where it should be and allow AI to work and increase the player count per set of shards... Looking like the PU may actually be deliverable!

Star Engine video, it's a long one, detailing all the technology in the game currently, along with new tech coming soon. The game looks absolutely incredible, and with the addition of Ray Tracing and GI it will just be insane, surpassing Cyberpunk in many aspects, the real time damage model and physics are just bonkers.

Also Pyro on 31st for PTU testers, usual wave invites though.

Best part of day 1 citcom for me https://m.youtube.com/watch?si=DKKDmi_BOutuXj8E&v=fAbcr35_Teg&feature=youtu.be

Seems crazy how this is being ignored by the wider community and instead you see endless posts about a new ship...

This tech is huge and without it, this game is not feasible to do in the scope and vision that Chris Roberts wants.

The fact that bullets and objects can travel across meshed servers and how a 30k just briefly pauses your game client (but u can still move your char around etc) whilst a new dgs is being loaded up is quite frankly god tier tech.

Unfortunately it seems the main UI changes aren't going to be released until SQ42. As they're not willing to release it with missing features, which I'm normally ok with. In this situation though, I want them to release the map section without Niknaks etc.

We need to be able to land places, repair/rearm at any pad and be able to plot jump routes without the problems we have currently.

The Zeus is an interesting one, I'm not a fan of the wedge cockpits they use for RSI ships but I like the rest of the ship. I can easily see that becoming the standard interdiction ship used.

They didn't give a date or time frame, and as jarred said at the end today is the big news day, we already know Pyro is coming on the 31st to testers and I'm sure they are well aware that besides server meshing, a functional ui is as important.

Does it not bother anyone that the ships are always 100% rigid? nothing seems to move, wings/engine should vibrate. They just look like a horrible solid lump

That new video above was pretty boring. Just felt like a rehash of the Pupil To Planet video from years ago.
Don't give them ideas, they'll spend another 2 years making wings flap.

I did quite enjoy some of the tech demos but I'm not a fan of any demo that's clearly "on rails", free fly the ship, by all means pre-record it too if you want but show actual in-game flight.
