Also the terminals wouldn't let me spawn ships so I ended up walking outside without one lol

Still - it's looking good, feels "proper big" now on planetside.
 
Are you running the launcher as admin? Just a thought

Also I think access to the latest version is being rolled out in waves so perhaps you don't have access yet?
 
I've had problems in the past because I downloaded the wrong version of the launcher, there's a few links dotted around the RSI site and I'm convinced it's occasionally the wrong one they post. Particularly when PTU is active.
 
^^ This is exactly what I was thinking too!

Actually was looking for my combat stick earlier then thought - it's going to take me at least an hour to get this right.. only for it to change anyway.
 
I'd be surprised if it wasn't episodically released, too good an opportunity to get people interested in the multiplayer Star Citizen.

They don't pass up any tricks!
 
yeah you need to add each other once it's installed then one joins a server and the other joins on him. I still don't class it as a game tbh but you can mess about etc and get an idea of what they are pushing for. definitely worth watching some of the starter videos first as the interface and menus need serious work...
 
@deuse Just remember it's not that new-player friendly. It's one of the gripes I have with the GUI, menus etc. Heck it's not even veteran friendly as things keep changing/breaking from patch to patch but we forgive it because it's a never-ending alpha! :D

My suggestion, explore, take a ship down to surface and skim along. Flight mechanics are changing so no point really worrying about that side or ship v ship combat in this patch.

Never happened on 3.2 but has on 3.3.

I've deleted User folder, verified files and still the same, even reinstalled the fame and still the same.

It just crashes to desktop and asks if I want to send a report.

sure it's the right launcher you are using? not the PTU one? asking as I was doing that lol

Have you tried choosing a difference zone to join? Normally it's set at "best" but if you join US servers when they are mostly asleep...
