******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

Lol no problem, figured it out. Weird thing, since the patch I have regained some armour that I died in before but didn't have my weapon and stuff I purchased when I was alive before the patch dropped lol.

Just had a mooch around a crusader, pretty cool, can't figure out how to get on the A2 though lol.
There should be Door indicator recitals where the buttons are, there is a ramp front and back and a lift to one side.

Are you are the Crusader showroom? the white ship on display is the C2, the cargo ship, the A2, the black one is the bomber. in the showroom there should be screens where you can by ships that are not on display.

I've gone back and the front ramp is now down, also when I said Crusader earlier I meant Star Runner, didn't realise Crusader was the OEM. The screen by the C2 says it is disconnected. Edit: Was at the wrong screen lol, I can't afford one obv but at least I know how I could. Still puzzled how the ramp was activated on the demo ship as only option when I put cursor near it is to buy.
I don't get why some stuff exists, like why would I want an option to pull the ladder down on the mustang when clicking 'Get in pilot seat' automatically drops it and opens the canopy

Screen disconnected. I saw that in the Expo, that's a weird one, never seen that before, its almost like its an in game thing rather than a bug and yet why would that be a thing?

You might want to open the canopy where you're EVA floating space and you just want to access component button to open exterior component panels, tho you can open them at the panel if they have them, the Gladius and RSI Scorpius for example are covered in external component panels, i don't know why that would be an option when its sat on the ground, just CIG stuff, you will find a lot of odd CIG stuff, sometime these things exist for later yet to be added features, they don't make any sense until they do.... Remember this game is very much an ongoing development. its far from feature complete.

Tweaked my system tonight and trying SC again. Much better now, E cores are off and i've kept the same 5.2ghz overclock on the P cores but brought the Ring ratio right up to 5ghz. Just had to tweak voltage that affects the memory cache to 1.3v and im golden now.

No stutters (aside from the new textures cache loading in) and im at a stable 70-90fps around Area18.

Ah ok. Yeah I try not to scrutinise too much!

Yet minor things bug me like I can eat a burger and the wrapper vanishes, yet when I finish a drink I have to drop the bottle somewhere, usually the floor as nowhere else.

Nearly did my first delivery mission but I got disconnected flying to the drop off point, FML.

Maybe I should cancel those joysticks and purchase some big daddy ships.

No never do that, the sticks will make the game way more fun, you can always buy the bigger ships in game.

I'm tempted to upgrade my Avenger Titan to the Syulen considering it is $9 to do so. It awesome looking ship and something different.

Try it first, you can rent it for free in game, it's a unique ship for sure, but it takes some getting used to the 90 degree offset for flying/landing.

Yeah wasn't being serious lol. It's just a massive gamble incase they take 3+m and imagine if I don't even want to play any more by then. My only other option is Elite and X4 which isn't really the same.

Testing out the Syulen. Interesting ship. Quite like the aesthetic, nice and agile, decent weaponry, flies well. Landing..... is an experience. Really highlights how this game needs some proper virtual landing assist solution for when visibility isn't great - as just switching to third person feels like cheating. Plus even that is still tricky as the camera angle is 90 degrees off where you feel you'd want it!

I was trying to land at an outpost earlier and it was so so dark (which I like). Had some trouble figuring out what the landing pads were but I think you can just set down anywhere on those.

Trying to fly the Syulen when you've lost a wing/thruster in combat is basically the same as trying to fly a bath tub, loosing 1 thruster results in the ship pulling hard in that direction making flight in a straight line basically impossible. The ship tries to pivot itself in the direction of the lost thruster. If you lose 2, basically hold down delete and respawn as you ain't flying anywhere.

for a starter ship, I'd still recommend the Drake Cutter or the Anvil Avenger Titan if you don't mind spending a little more.

If you're happy to splurge £100+ then the Drake Cutlass Black (multirole combat/cargo 46scu) is a fantastic 2 person ship, followed by the Crusader C1 (cargo 64scu) or RSI Zeus MK2 (120scu, but not yet available)

I suspect it'll be a rare sight in the game after a few months like the Khartu-Al. It's just different, looks great but is arguably less practical than most other ships of any price.

Note to self if Zenduru is looting in the ship, toss him out along with the left over bodies on the way back to the station to avoid a crime stat :D
For context Zenduru is a loot monkey, he can't help but loot every loot box and every dead body he sees, to save time sometimes he uses the tractor beam to pile potential loot bodies in to the back of my ship, (yes it's very morbid, get help....) to loot on out way to the next mission.

At the end of the night we went back home to Seraphim to end the night, as i landed in my hanger to space police rolled up and scanned my ship, they found Zenduru's collection of dead people in my ship and weren't too pleased, they gave us all a crime stat, luckily they stopped short of giving us a custodial sentence, probably because they were dead bad guys and slapped me at least, dunno about the others, with a 40,000 aUEC fine.

This is typical, everytime CIG introduce a new ship it easily, too easily looses an engine which then makes it unflyable due to torque imbalance, the last ship like that was the Drake Corsair, after some complaints they always fix it by making it much more difficult to shoot off the engine nacelles, so don't worry, it'll get fixed.
