EA were on it.
There always could be - especially with outfits like Bend that are picking up other developers games and making new ones off them. Id be very surprised if Wipeout doesnt feature somewhere down the line especially as Liverpool left one half-started supposedly...Cant wait for the PS4, shame there wont be a new wipeout to go with it

I think a new IP would be better even if its still just a FPS
Never really liked Resistance (was first game I played on PS3 too)
was a nice idea but the games all felt like someone stamped them out as generic scifi fps's

I hope it does, was upset that liverpool studios was shut down. I'm a massive fan of wipeout and would love to see another.

i really like the additional features but don't really know how useful they are.
sure if i see someone on my friend's list playing a game i do not have and i'm thinking about buying i would watch them play it for a while to see how it is.
but other than that, i do not think i would want to watch people playing games, i would rather play the games myself.
i can see how some people would want to watch pro gamers playing, but tbh im not really bothered about stuff like that.
is their cross game chat a la xbox?

Cannot believe there is no Audio CD playback capability in the PS4, preorder cancelled.

let's be honest, practically everyone uses media files stored on memory cards these days. CD's are slowly being phased out like audio cassettes were.
heh, i dont think i used my ps3 once for cd's and the ps2 didnt get used that often either, not really needed anymore as you can just stream mp3's if you really want to.
Haha, what?! You're cancelling a pre-order for a games console because it won't play CDs?
In any case, it seems a strange omission and I actually used my PS3 recently to rip some CDs I bought because my PC doesn't have an optical drive, but I don't think I've ever used it to listen to CDs directly. It's no real loss anyway.

Is there a source for this? I can't imagine why it wouldn't, it's already got the optical drive after all

As above, does seem a little weird....cannot recall ever seeing a BluRay/DVD drive that does not also handle CDs - still, as others have mooted, I cannot see this being a deal-breaker !
