Wii U is not a next gen console though?
So your decision is to get the Sony machine no matter what, that is cool for you but does not mean your decision applies across the gaming market
Debatable
Actually the Wii U is a next generation console, the next generation doesn't begin when Sony/Microsoft releases a console you know.
Id wait until the better specced console was out and then make my choice. If we consider your original premise, then surely everyone should be buying the Wii U right now because it launched first? Or is it people are still waiting for the PS4 and next Xbox to turn up?

Wii u is in line with 360 and PS3 though? unless you are assuming newer = next gen?
Well he said the main thing is to get it launched first, which unless you want to tell me differently Nintendo have done? That's definitely the weakest 'premise' I've seen in this thread so far.
ps3ud0MS might not announce first, but they might have their next gen machine in shops first, which would be the main thing.
LOL you like attempting to put words in peoples mouths, shame its so poorly veiled .

No, the Wii was Nintendo's seventh generation console, the Wii U is an eighth generation console and as of yet neither Microsoft nor Somy have released their eighth gen machines.
Inferior specs. Lol
We all know they're going to produce very similar results in the games.
Not at all . Unfortunately Ive got a bit of common sense and some self control when it comes to new consoles, its quite interesting to debate the technical values of one or the other, but to already decide before both are launched is silly to consider or in your case silly to assume that others have done...What? you said Sony appeals to you more? so your decision seems made to me?
LOL what? new xbox will be MS's 3rd gen, so they are 5 gens behind Nintendo then?
The wii / wii-u will never be viewed in the same light as the Xbox/PS and you know it. They could have released it whenever they wanted and it wouldn't have made a jot of different to opposing sales.
Oh dear... Do you know ANYTHING.

TBH Sony values are just closer to my needs in that Im not a massive online gamer, Id rather have a game with a decent involving identity - MSs lack of exclusives that interest me and their seemingly continued movement to not really employ their first party teams outside of Kinect implementation will never capture me as a customer. If the PS4 is as capable as the next Xbox when it comes to multiplatform games, its an easy decision to make and thats ignoring spec differences. Sony at face value seemed to have learnt from the PS3 mistakes, I cant see how that isnt pretty much the biggest thing this gen for developers and us customers...
Again what?
MS are only on their 3rd gen of console with the new xbox?
I might be wrong here but I always thought generations were a "universal" thing and didn't apply to one company, like the PS2 and Xbox would be in the same generation despite it being Sony's 2nd console.
