That's not bad tbh, they're only 5 quid too.

The RF filter does help a lot reduced CRC errors on the line. So, it will be good exspecially crosstalk FTTC (VDSL)

Unfortunately the only thing that can mitigate crosstalk is vectoring.

The interference happens outside the home and is in the same RF band as the wanted signals.

I'm very interested to see if these new MK2 VDSL faceplates do actually work for some people who have issues. Been reading the improvements that some are claiming it brings.

Yes, my VDSL faceplate had improvement my line errors but not much difference to speed increase (only 1 Meg more)

1 meg more on an already tight ADSL2+? connection is a great improvement and less line errors is also a bonus. Cheap boost IMO.

Just had fttc enabled today (Sky self install). The above stats have been provided by my router. Can anyone give an indication of what speed my line is likely to be capable of if i were to upgrade to the 80mbit Pro package at any point in time?

Noise Margin is quite high 31.1 dB? Plus your Line Attenuation 12.8 dB sound like u are further away from cabinet

I would say approx 200m from the cab. Internal wiring is good, (1 cat5e extension). Only thing i can think of is i have an adsl face plate installed as opposed to one of the new Vidal jobbies. Is that likely to cause such an issue?

If the line is decent and there aren't too many people on your cabinet 65 - 80Mb.

With that SNR margin you can be optimistic of 80Mb.

You will see 80mb if you upgrade, but I don't doubt that crosstalk will chop into that nice margin as more people are enabled in your cab.

Crosstalk will cut that 80Mb down to less if there's enough of it.

My own attenuation is lower however crosstalk has cut me from 99Mb attainable to 75Mb attainable in 7 weeks. The effect can be pretty huge.

Mine dropped from about 140 attainable down to about 99 now after a year, but the cab is pretty full now, good job it's 20 meters away

I connect openreach modem Lan2 direct to the back of my pc ethernet and I did type 192.168.1.100. but it come in blank screen. I can see openreach modem ip4 address is reading at 169.254.76.242?
