Samsung Odyssey 49" OLED G9 G95SC

Noticed on eBay there is a listing for the ideal arm and heavy duty pivot listed: “Ergotron HX Wall Mount 45-478-216 + Heavy Duty Component 98-540-216”

Tbh that’s it solved. Not the cheapest but you’ll use it again and won’t need another + it is cheaper than current new prices.

So I've got it wall mounted and thanks for the help a d eBay reccomdation. I had an old bracket that fitted perfectly. It takes 30kilos so it's no bother. My first attempt was a complete failure as I messed up using a too big drill bit to start and p!it's wouldn't stay in. Second I took my time starting with smallest bit taking it slow and working up to bigger but and perfect. Looks great and I'm going to enjoy some Forza 4 and ETS2 on it later today. I'll post a pic katers. :)

I still can't figure out if this monitor does its cleaning cycles or not He's never asked me anything and I'm basically going in blind. Not even the LG C2 asked for it but I was on the safe side with them, much less so with Samsung to be honest...

I managed to snag a bit of a bargain last night with a G93SC for £647 direct from Samdung. I liked the G95 when I tried it some time back but absolutely hated the smart menu ******** but fortunately this doesn't have it :)

You did good! All that extra bloat is a PITA. Switching between inputs still annoys me. Better than it was tho now that they have unique names and don’t swap positions.

Enjoy it. You got a great deal there.

After almost 6 months of use I can safely say that the perfect uniformity that my monitor had is no longer so perfect.
I still have never seen it ask me to do cleaning cycles and my old and previous LG C2 after two years of much heavier use was as perfect as the first day.
A bit disappointed even if I don't know if it's Samsung's fault or Qdoled's in general.

As far as I know newer Samsung qd-oleds perform a mini-cycle each time you turn them off instead of periodically. They will only ask you if you turn them off at the wall socket which stops them from doing their mini-cycles on standby.

Honestly I believe that given the worsening of the uniformity of my panel (when new it was really perfect) and having had LG OLEDs for years where compensation cycles improved uniformity, I can confirm that in my opinion this model with the mess they have made with the various firmwares does nothing at all.
The only way is to unplug it and force it.I bought a 42 LG C4 again and after testing it, if it works, I'll go back to LG.

Hows the 49 going ? What a bargain though
Yeah I couldn't get on with it as found it just too wide so I did a deal and swapped it for a G80SD :) It didn't have a 3440x1440p setting in the EDID so that killed it for me :(

If I did any kind of production work though I'd have kept it, stunning really in that regard!
