I think there should be an option to use Royal mail for orders under a certain amount or weight. I ordered a Dlink router from a competitor last night at 4:30, select their standard delivery, which was £5. And i got the router this morning when the expected delivery date is next monday. Was well suprised

I will not be voting - service is 50/50 in the Fife area :)

Amtrak - Always next day after I recieve the shipping confirmation. Regularly between 12 & 2pm. Regular driver who is good enough to attempt redelivery on has way out of town as he knows I have funny lunch breaks :D

No problems with packages being damged etc.

City Link - Perfectly good service but a little random regarding delivery time. Several times I have caught them putting a card through the door without even a knock or a ring of the doorbell :(

Packages always arrive in a perfectly good condition. Recently a DVD player was delivered with damage to the box - the driver waited while we checked out the contents which was good :D

From my experience:

City Link: ****** Link
Amtrak: Scamtrak

tbh

I've never had any problem with Royal Mail Special Delivery -wherever- I am. Deliveries seem to arrive at more predictable times. OCUK could offer this before lighter parcels maybe?

That said, since I moved to a big city I haven't had any problems with any of the courier/postal services. Its just those outside the city I feel sorry for :(

P.s Hope the 'ty' doesn't upset anyone.. I left in to illustrate point ;)

Depends where they are located, there is a store in Bradford and another one in Sheffiled, so when I buy something they come next day :D

UPS are without doubt the leading courier in the business.

Althought I have to say Lynx offer a very primed service, even collecting on a Sunday and delivering next-day on Monday.

It depends on your local depot I suppose as to which service you get :)

I can say that amtrack have always been good for myself, but once, a City Link driver left a parcel (cant remember what it was, but I can remember it was expensive as I will explain later) and signed for it himself with a forged signature.

I returned home expecting it to have arrived, got home to an empty door so checked my consignment number via the net and it had been signed for by a name not familar to myself or the family.

Ive lived here for all my life, and virtually know most in the estate. First thing, first was to ask next door, who turned out to have my parcel.

Hmmm, I thought. So I asked her why she had signed for it under a different name. To which she replied that she was walking past after picking up her children from school and saw it left in the porch, and remembered me telling her that she might have to hold an expensive parcel for me this day if I were not home. So she told one of her kids to quickly go get it.

I was disgusted if im honest.

while were on this, the last 3 orders from OcUK, amtrak MADE me pick it up the last 3 times from there warehouse.

whats it all about?!

Not sure, but normally after two failed deliveries they normally make you pick it up, or you can pick t up by choice from the depot if you missed your first.

We have a great local citylink driver (north-sussex), i can usually guess the time he'll arrive within the hour too, amtrak don't seem to bother with second deliveries and their local depot is a pain to get to.

It seems like a very localised thing wether you get good service or not.

I think the only reasonable way forward is to hire illegal immigrants in to personally run OCUK products to their customers' houses.

Would probably be cheaper than RMSD, and with the easy availability of illegal immigrants in the UK, if the one in your area isn't doing a good job you can always hire another

Ah ok. The last item I orderred from OCUK was an Antec P180. I didn't see the RMSD option so I figured you didn't offer it anymore.

I now understand that it was because it is expensive to ship items as heavy small tanks by RMSD ;) :)

P180 is far too heavy for RMSD. :)

Voted for amtrak. City Link are the only couriers I know who have failed to deliver any of my parcels, and then somehow managed to lose its packaging aswell, and that distroyed my trust in them. Quite frankly I don't care if the vans a bit banged up so long as the goods get there.
