*** Sky TV Cancellation & Negotiation Thread ***

I'm in cancellation period. Best they keep offering is £44 for signature and sports in HD. Er... No thanks. Rip off merchants. Would rather leave.

I'm looking to cancel too. Was on live chat for an hour yesterday with nobody picking up so to speak. I've sent an email, but it's almost like a ps5 is easier to get hold than a sky rep. Might ring them during the week, I just don't want to pay for a call.

Received a comeback offer of £22 for Signature plus Netflix, nothing about HD/UHD costs. They have also been trying to call me the last week but I’ve been on the phone when they call and they don’t leave a voicemail. Cant say I miss it and they would probably have to give me signature, Netflix and HD for under £20 for me to bite.

I used this number last time 08001512747, so free call. Think it was Monday, got through within 10 mins

I got my email today saying prices were going up by £5pm
Only another couple of months & I'm out of contract & I'll be off...can't wait.

I'm assuming I can't leave early because of the price rise like you can with Virgin?

I cancelled and the contract ended last night, boxes going back next week. The retention offers were not where I wanted to be, though I suspect some of that was BT Sport.

Signature HD, Sky Sports HD, BT Sport & Netflix best offer was £79.50 a month with a multi room box.

Got internet down to £27 which is fine so renewed for another 18 months.

It's in the T's & C's that they can raise TV prices by up to 10%. if they raise your broadband price though you can leave but you need to tell them you're going to leave and then approach another provider.

Tried to cancel sky yesterday, even though I'm not out of contract till the end of April, I can't give notice until the end of March (I wanted to give them 6 weeks notice). I said the main issue was cost, we currently pay 35 and she came back with 53:cry:. Then tried to flog me broadband, cba telling her I'm on kcom so good luck with that:D.

Great logic there !! "I cant afford £35", "ok, here's your reduced price of £53" idiots !!

Two weeks until cancellation they want £37 for sig and sports in HD which is more than I'm paying now. I am letting it cancel down this time.
