*** Sky TV Cancellation & Negotiation Thread ***

Ended up getting talked in to going down the sky glass route (43" TV) with 3 stream pucks for my other rooms and the same TV / Broadband - now £111 - not really what I was planning :D:D
Your call but now my broadband/phone without TV is £25 a month I can safely say I’ll never go back to sky!

Personally there are things I’d rather spend that ~£100 monthly saving on!

I'm just in the process of reviewing our TV usage and thinking of talking to Sky as I think we are paying too much. Appreciate any thoughts on this.

We have Sky Q multiscreen, box sets and Sky Sports F1 and HD - although why the hell I'm paying them more for HD when it's the standard TV format is beyond me - and our main TV is UHD anyway. This is costing me £82 per month inc vat.
I also pay separately for Netflix Premium - £16 per month - and Disney+ £8 per month. I'm considering getting Paramount+ too as I want to watch Yellowstone which would be £7.

Paying £113 per month for TV though makes me wanna puke and I'm seriously considering cancelling Sky altogether and dropping down to Freesat as I just don't see the value in Sky at these exorbitant rates. The kids barely watch TV anymore, preferring Youtube, I only watch the F1 and the occasional series like Picard and the wife is pretty much only watching NCIS re-runs.

Any thoughts?

Sky Signature will give you Netflix Premium included. Although you haven't said that you have Movies if you do you'll get Paramount+ for free as well. Do you watch Netflix through the Q box or via TV App? The same question about Disney+ too.

Disney and Netflix are through the TV app. I can watch Netflix through the sky box by logging in with my existing account details so it makes no odds either way.

I don’t have or need movies.

So you can save a wee bit by moving your sub over to Sky Signature which includes Netflix as well. Sadly I have no clue about pricing anymore, I've been away from the Domestic side for a good while now.

I have Netflix and f1 app. That's all.
Costs 20 a month. And it's all the content I need.
I don't even utilise a TV licence.
F1 app doesn't need to record as can watch full reruns. That was critical for me as I don't watch live races.

If you really don't watch much you could also ditch the tv licence. But if you have a family might be a step too far
