*** Sky TV Cancellation & Negotiation Thread ***

I just cancelled sky too....before it even got installed.

Ordered 23 March, 14 separate issues in 2 months and still no fibre or tv installation till now.

What a **** up company. Holy hell.

No idea why people are still paying for sky tv in 2015

The mrs parents pay £75 a month JUST for tv, not inc phone and internet

It's crazy

Freeview + Netflix + Prime is more than enough....and if you really want sky, just get the now tv vouchers from ebay

Cos if you're addicted to live sport vouchers from ebay still don't cut it.

I like the way they all tell you a £5.50 day pass is worth 9.99 when Sky themselves are 'only' asking 6.99.

So many channels, in one place with a very good DVR system and HD? Sky Go, Sky+ remote record, download boxsets and catch up, fantastic on-demand service.

33% off for FIVE years? What are you expecting? That sounds like a pretty good deal IMHO!

I was offered that also, but why tie yourself in for 5 years at 33% when you can cancel each year and get a minimum of 50%?

Year 1 I was 50% off, Year 2 I was 50% off, Year 3 I get 60% off with a £50 credit.

pfft, they won't give us diddly squat. Looks like we'll be cancelling now our cashback deal is over, paying over £100 a month is crazy.

**** it, probably going to regret this but I'll give a go instead.

Any forum members around that have mega discount codes or something like Mischief does with Sky? Worried I'm gonna end up regreting Virgin and paying through the nose for it on top!

Offered 60% + £50 credit off my account. Told them I want more so declined the offer, I know of people who have been offered £100 credit + 60% discount.

I've just signed up to sky, not because I want sky tv, but because I need someone with a big ladder to help sort out some cables I have running down the back of my house

so, basically not only will I get someone to sort out the mess, they are paying me £53 :D

£120 quidco
£75 sky credit
£50 sky hd box on ebay

£16 a month for 12 months = £192

£192 - £120 - £75 - £50 = £53 profit

suppose I could still watch sky using the sky go app lol

"cancelled today" - had a few offers from retentions but all 10 month ones on a 12 month contract which I didn't want

already had the 35% offer in my account inbox

new customers automatically get 25% off and £75 bill credit (excl any poss quidco)

basically all sky are doing is offering existing customers a similar deal if they re-signup to a 12 month contract

you are better off getting the other half to join as a new customer using one of the f&f codes

My skyTv is due Up

Its due up on the 16th June, last year I waited until that time before renegotiating, but it got me thinking if we didnt come to an agreement I would have to pay a month at full price 98 quid before leaving.

my bill is currently discounted to 78 quid. I was think of calling them on the 16th of may to make sure that the contract does not go on after the 16th of june

anyone tell me their strat for renegotiating and what you are currently paying?
