*** Sky TV Cancellation & Negotiation Thread ***

sounds like what i have, it's illegal so i doubt he'll be allowed to tell you on here.

Yeah that's true, don't think the forum would let me. But has saved what atleast £1000 since I've had it which is about 4 years now. And I still get more channels than on my old sky subscription. Movies + sports etc. aswell as being able to watch any movie and tv series. So the actual saving is probably far more.

So I am on the Live Chat with Sky and they have offered the following
Full TV Package including Sports and Movies + HD Pack
Sky MultiScreen and SkyGo Extra with new box and free installation
£100 cashback with 60% off
£33.82 a month
Effectively around £26 a month.
That good?

Thought I would cross post this from another thread. If Sky Live chat is busy, its probably not here is a tip on how to still get the live chat up.
Using chrome.
Go to
https://contactus.sky.com/uk/sky-tv/cancel-sky-tv

Then right click the live chat area and click inspect element.
Developer tools will open with a lot of HTML
Press Ctrl + f and search will pop up at the bottom. Type "
Start Live Chat" into the search no quotes.
That phrase will show in yellow and just above that you will see <a class="hidden btn primary-cta" ......
Click cancel on the search bar on the bottom.
Double click the word hidden and then delete it so it just shows class="btn primary-cta".

Look back on the page and you will have a nice Start Live Chat button to click.

Let me know if you have any issues. I Can do photos or steps in FF/edge or something if needed.

Can I ask how you managed this, thats the price I was quoted for Entertainment (with Fibre)

Is your's with Fibre?

Not TV related but SKY related...what are the chances of SKY waivering the installation fee for fibre?

We had fibre in our last house, and when we moved in there was no internet available for 6 months. After we waited Fibre was showing as not available so we couldn't port our product over so had to just go ADSL.

Now the systems have updated I can get upto 80/20 at my exchange, however don't fancy paying an engineers fee even for the 40mb.

Thanks

Renegotiated lat night for tv,sports, hd, talk anytime, and an upgrade to fibre unlimited for £72.
I could have gotten a new customer deal for £73 with Movies but we'd hardly watch it so to save the potential headache of cancelling and signing up in the Mrs name I opted for that.

Turns out Sky have completely messed my bill up and it is now showing at £84 a month! Que the unhappy customer phone call this morning to them.. clowns. waiting for a phone call back tomorrow morning.

Thats what I was offered after two months being cancelled. I didnt want the Multiscreen stuff. Their website says £28 a month but what they dont tell you is its without HD Pack. So they were going to do it for £33.82 until I said it says on your website £28 inc HD channels and the Chat woman let me have it for for £28 a month. So with the £100 credit I dont actually start paying properly till December. £28 a month for full Sky TV 12 months is pretty good. Its about £72 really.
