£30 a year or £4-500 a year for the same service. And better provider service. Hmm... That's not just "more" that's £4-500+ a year more.

+ it's not illegal with a CCcam like mine. However it is highly illegal to sell and profit the service.

I cancelled and was cut off about a month ago, had a phone call offering 60% off and £100 credit. I had bought a humax box and didnt really miss sky but after taking the credit into account its around £16 a month for the family pack, movies and HD pack. No contract either so can have a few months free.

The dodgy boxes look a little basic for my liking, no HD, half assed EPG/PVR. £16 a month for the real deal with all the online stuff is a no brainer.

get a decent quality box. vu plus etc. the clone ones are absolute trash. £16 a month is great and don't blame you for using sky at that price. But for most including myself it was much more than that. Especially once the offers run out.

Also depends what Image you use. I flashed mine with black hole and actually prefer it to sky's EPG.

My provider is excellent and gives great service, emails back within minutes. And at a very good price aswell. So for me in the 4 years I've had it, never looked back.

Card sharing is illegal full stop. Not sure why mods haven't deleted you posts tbh. And I know it's illegal because I used to run a server a few years ago.

Sky phoned back this morning and give me half price sports and family on top of my current offers (£4 off line rental, half price HD, half price fibre (normal)) making my bill per month £58.90 for Sports/HD/Sky Talk Anytime/Fibre Unlimited/Family Pack.

I'm happy with that for another 12months. The Mrs is paying this time :D

I called up this week and they offered nothing of worth over the phone so went ahead and cancelled, looked on my sky account on their website and I have an offer of 50% off any package.

I would cancel and see what happens within your 31 day notice, check online for offers on your account and then have a live chat.

It's hard to prove for the receiver and not really monitored. the card sharer will have a much tougher time. I've had police around my house at one point watching my vu box while drinking tea, they actually enjoyed it and not one thing was said.

I'm not doing anything bad or with reason to remove my posts. Simply stating why I don't use sky anymore and my replacement and the better service I receive. I'm not telling/forcing anyone to use them or how to set one up. That's their decision Just my opinions.

Quite critsizing saying why mods should delete my posts but then stating you used to run a sharing server hmm...

screw it, ive started up a chat, been going 15 mins and not got anywere yet. The big kahuna with sports and movies is looking good at £58 for 12 months.


have been offered 50% off for 10 months. pfft i say

no better offer than 50% for 10 months so ive cancelled. she got the package down to £37. She couldnt offer the same price of £33 from 12 months ago.

Add the new deal to my virgin BB brought total to £80 per month for 10 months.

Virgin have offered same Tv package and includes my BB and phone and also include bt sports which im after for £75 for 12 months. BT sports is £20 per month on sky!

i will wait a couple of days to see if sky phone back then sort virgin out. think it took them 10 days last time.
 
@utajoker I gave my 31 days noticearound 4 days ago and was offered the 10 month discount deal too, logged into my Sky account later on same day and in the my Sky section it says "Stay with Sky and get an exclusive 50% off any TV Bundle for 12 months".

After reading on the forum about getting 60% discount and 100 credited to account after your 31 days have past showing in my Sky , thought I'd chance it on the chat button next to offer Today and say i had 60% off deal and 100 credit showing in my account. They said that was a great deal but was only showing as 60% off and £50 credit in my account from system .

Asked if it included 60% off multi but he couldnt do it as was only on the tv package but he did try to get it reduced but was unable to apply further discount.

So seems like 60% can be had without waiting full 31 days ;)

i think they would have to offer me the 60% and £100 to get me to stay. The only channel i would lose that i watch is History HD but i would gain all the BT sports channels.

Funny you should say that as I decided not to take it either because it was £50 short and the multi was full price and not half price along with it as this would be another £22.50 PM on top with 2 multi rooms we have.

I might have been tempted with just the £50 if multi was half price too.

I'm on the same deal. I already had a box, I cancel after 11 months and always get a good deal if I leave it for a month or so.
