I wouldn't sell Modric because we wouldn't get £50m for him.

We'll see what he's worth next season. All the prices being thrown about lately could all be tosh. The only one we know was real was the £22m bid from Modric which is nowhere near what he is worth to the club.

Wanting to leave has sod all to do with it when we won't sell this season. It would drive down the price if we were selling, yes. But alas, we are not.

24 starts and 6 from bench. 9 goals. I'm sure he got quite a few assists too. I wish more players at Arsenal sucked as bad as him.

Even an injury hit season and he looks better than most.

So a race that consisted of us bidding a low amount, that's if we actually bid. He supports Liverpool if we wanted him we'd bid the £8mill or whatever it is. It's not like we don't over pay for British players. We may still bid. I guess we'll find out shortly.

No such thing as a Liverpool source. Everything is pretty much in house. People/press are just guessing making things up. Personally Lennon isn't worth half that amount.

expect a £35mill bid tomorrow.

Hopefully we wont bid for him, might be contraversial but I really dont rate Wickham and there are better people we can get for £8m+

If we are in for him I hope we don't spend any more than we bought Pennant for because he's no better.
 
The fella turned 18 in March. Fantastic talent and built like a house. Today's value of £9 million is a steal for such English potential. Criminal if we let him get away. N'Gog wont' be going to Sunderland if they get Wickham aswell. Sunderland really doing us over!

We're not desperate for a striker. We're only likely to play with 1 guy through the middle and then 1 just behind and in Carroll, Suarez and Kuyt, we've got 3 players that can play there. Signing another striker is far from a priority and if we're not able to sign him on the terms we want, it's not worth taking the risk. If we're not signing him for the sake of ~£2m, it's obvious that he's not that highly thought of within the club.

It's quite shocking the reaction of some supporters this summer. For once we're in a good position; no debt and everybody working to 1 goal yet some fans are moaning that we're overpaying then moaning that we're refusing to overpay. We've got worse than Arsenal supporters.

edit: Reportedly Sammy Lee has left the club. Everything's going wrong this summer :o ;)

Am I wrong in thinking Dalglish put Clarke in as assistant manager, so Lee is moving to a more senior job at a different club, and one that seems to throw money away left right and centre at the moment on wages. End of the day his job is coaching, not results and coaching for the league or the champs league, his job is the same, assistant manager is a much more involved job.
