I predict he won't do all that well at Spurs... why would you want him any way? :confused:

I don't. I really don't. But... for the £6m being bandied about, selling Palacios for £14m, singing one of the 'players of the year' of last season for £6m, and pocketing a cool £8m wouldn't be a bad bit of business.

At £6m though, which I doubt anyway, there must be a reason why no other clubs seem interested.

Been busy watching the Haye/Klitschko build up on Sky that I haven't been on the CAF much tonight but twitter has sunk to an all time low tonight....

@Marnix Kolder
Just had confirmation from my mate that Samir Nasri is joining tomorrow for 23.2m. Fantastic signing.

I can't stand Parker, but he'd be a perfect replacement for Murphy at Fulham - we couldn't match his wages, he's probably on quite a bit more than our highest earner.

All we've done with new personnel so far is appoint Hans Segers as GK Coach.. Hmph. First game of our season tomorrow too :(

Rumours of an official bid made this evening by Spurs for Parker, which would suggest that the Palacios transfer is close to completion.

I'd really like to see Parker stay at West Ham, him and Nolan would easily be good enough a pairing for the Premiership let alone getting promoted from the Championship

That said I guess you cant blame him for wanting to join Spurs if it does all go through

Sounds like Jol has ruled out signing a new striker, said he's got 'four' strikers in Zamora, AJ, Dembele and Dempsey - this was around because of El Hamadoui being made available and he said;

"Mounir is a very good player, one of the best finishers I’ve seen, but as the situation is now, I’ve got four strikers.”

Looks like we might loan out Stockdale too, to get some first team football.

He also said he had a medical a week ago, when Nasri on his own twitter feed mentioned he was on holiday just 10 days ago. Oh and Arsenal actually let him do a photo shoot for the new kit, whilst he was talking to Utd at the same time.

Also £23m for a player with 12 months on his contract left would be shocking business, Great for Arsenal though.

According to the Times it looks like Lee was pushed rather than walked and that Chelsea's Paul Clement has been lined up to replace him.

edit: And the Telegraph have also thrown Gary McAllister's name into the mix to replace him too.

Twitter can be a great news source, but the actual source has to be good, rather than some random turnip on the Internet.

Things like Alvarez saying he wants to play for Arsenal are interesting, and actually add some weight to rumours, but 95% of the rumours are total turd.

If anyone had as much as mentioned Twitter last year, they'd have been strung up by their short and curlies.

I remember suggesting a couple of years back that you should be banned if you mentioned twitter or itk's anymore :p The suggestion still stands ;)

Our owner, John Henry is on twitter and he made a rare apprearance today and even took time to respond to a few fans messages. The main message from him was not to pay any attention to stories linking us with players 'of a certain age' and that while everything is sport is overpriced, they/we don't mind paying providing they fit into our overall plan. He also hinted at an announcement on the stadium front could be imminent.

Is there another club with both their manager and owner on twitter?

DM, please shut the **** up for once. You talk so much babble its unreal.

Word. :D

There's no way Fabregas would play for Real Madrid. He doesn't want to move to Spain FOR THE SAKE of moving to Spain. He wants to play for the club he supports, the club where all his friends play and where all his family live. Not just for the sake of moving away. Whether we can use Real's alleged interest in him to boost his price is unknown, personally anything that hits £35,000,000 or higher I would take. Yeah I think he's worth more than that but there's realistically only one team he would move to, and to be honest we wouldn't sell him to Milan, Madrid, City (lol) or anyone else apart from Barcelona.

Eto'o was 4/5 to join Spurs on SkyBet. :p

Skip, sometimes I have the urge to put a pillow over your face when you're sleeping, and just hold it there until you stop moving... :(

That's nothing to do with your post I don't know why I quoted you. I just felt that I should tell you, seeing as my Steam still isn't working.
