Arsenal's 'size and stature within English football' is that of a top 6 team who have consistently overperformed. They don't have access to billion pound budgets and don't pretend to have. Players such as Bergkamp and Henry have retired and moved on. This was ALWAYS going to happen to Arsenal without a billionaire takeover.

I hope that these signings are the beginning of Wenger turning a corner. I really love the idea of bringing youth players through, and being a club that is strongly associated with that, but there has to be the right mix and with our new signings I think we can really start building now and hopefully have a good, respectable season in all competitions.
