I do hope this spurs him on to regain the form he had 2 years ago but I think his best his past him. 2 years ago there was talk of barca being interested and he was on top form. Since the move back to Spain didn't come off he's been pretty avergage

Indeed but for better or worse we weren't bought as a vanity project. And that's the problem, together. Why would the Russian put in money when he wasn't able to gain control of the club? He might as well sit on his 30% and let the majority shareholder pump money in until he can pick the club up himself of if by some miracle the club value rockets sell his remaining shares off for profit.
They should have let the Russian gain control, but isn't it dein that sold his shares to the yank?
