The irony being that our 2 major shareholders are worth a stupid amount of money. One of them is the world's 35th richest person.

Usmanov is apparently worth more than Roman is these days. Kronke has a couple billion in his own right and his wife is a Walmart heiress. Together they could challenge Manchester City Wealth wise.

Arteta is good at free kicks isnt he.

Not for the last 2 years sadly, his distribution and free kicks have been poor. He regularly hits the wall. I do hope this spurs him on to regain the form he had 2 years ago but I think his best his past him. 2 years ago there was talk of barca being interested and he was on top form. Since the move back to Spain didn't come off he's been pretty avergage :(

If Arsenal keep their squad fit, they may well be a bit more of a force to be reckoned with this season. We'll have to wait and see.

Sad about no Sneijder but at least he said thanks to all the Man Utd fans on his Twitter, so maybe we'll get him in January, especially if Inter are failing.

Surprised about Liverpool selling Meireles, he's surely one of their better players.

Indeed but for better or worse we weren't bought as a vanity project. IF financial fair play rules are implemented (big if), then at least we'll be in a better position than some of the clubs above us and perhaps could come out the other side in a stronger position than them..... hahaha, yeah right.

wasnt he out of action for 6 months or something stupid?

he scored some big goals against utd and liverpool last year

Something else that has been brought up. Park: S.Korean Captain, Benny: Israel captain, Mertesacker: Captained Germany (apparently). Wenger has brought in some leaders. :)

And that's the problem, together. Why would the Russian put in money when he wasn't able to gain control of the club? He might as well sit on his 30% and let the majority shareholder pump money in until he can pick the club up himself of if by some miracle the club value rockets sell his remaining shares off for profit.

They should have let the Russian gain control, but isn't it dein that sold his shares to the yank?

Love the way Arsenal fans are so excited by their panic buys...they let world class players leave and replaces with average players at best...can't wait to see them lose to Swansea with all their new signings :D
