You cannot compare a 21 year old Saka to a 30+ Ozil and Auba. It’s a silly comparison. That was their last big paydays, Saka still has a big future to work for.

the problem with handing out £300k+ contracts is that all agents of CL grade players will now want more for their clients (when dealing with Arsenal, for example - same applies to all clubs with these kind of wages at the top). Current squad members will also come looking for new contracts if they feel they perform as well.

You can’t really factor that into a contract offer though. You have to go on his performance now, not a hypothetical future.
