Terraria - Dig, fight, explore, build

I've been experimenting with large scale fluid replication, and there is a little bit of honey in hell now. Nothing to worry about, tho. Just the odd pool here and there. Brightens up the place I'd say.

On a serious note, fluids seem really erratic. One minute nothing flows, the next minute there's a tsunami.
 
Hmmm, a certain instance from one person to push on with bosses regardless of where everyone else is (and that everyone else sits getting their ass kicked regardless of choice) has lead me to probably give the server a miss. Will see.

It's been fun guys If I don't make a return :)
 
Well, i was enjoying it, had a break for two days but it seems I'm stuck standing around waiting for others before I'm going to be allowed to progress forwards without offending anyone.

Let me know when you guys get to the point of destroying the final pillar and i'll rejoin maybe.
 
No issue with progress but certain boss fights cause basically everyone death. If I gotta sit through 10 minutes of getting killed at spawn so certain bosses can be tackled, a little... agreement like "ok let me get this done, I'll get off for 30 minutes at XX:XX" would be fine?

I mean this in a totally friendly way... just, yes, some of us are just interested in breaking bosses, others in building/etc and bosses so we obviously need to get along :)

If it's just whupping bosses, throwing up an expert mode world specifically for the boss fight (while it would require a hellavator digging to get to hell to kill wall of flesh) would take.... 20 minutes? I'll even happily throw up an accompanying world that's also properly hosted so there's something a bit more... welcoming available and a world that can get hit with boss mobs at any instant? (happy to leave it up to folks to decide which is which). Have a world I'm building for use with the friend (have constructed it with full unlocked everything but will be played with characters) so it's pretty... well set for protecting/making life easy if there's a desire to have it hosted for non-boss related stuff.

I left rather grumpified and frustrated with a few short words, apologies for that. Can get something fixed. As a suggestion though - kill plantera solo (without vastly superior weaponary) I don't consider a boss dead till I can solo it :D

Is anybody coming back to play? It's just me myself and I for the last couple days.

I've been rigging up teleports the the map's extremities and prime fishing spots.

But there's no one to appreciate my handywork :p
 
Is there any point using flails or boomerangs now? It seems like yoyos are better in almost every way.

Yoyos are totally overpowered. Absolutely no point using boomerangs, until you get the homing boomerang from the Golem.

There really is no point in using magic either. "Melee" has so many ranged options that out-damage magic - while being encased in much stronger armour - that I can't see the point in magic at all now.

Not only does "melee" have stronger ranged options, it also has ranged options that go through blocks :p Hence why I abandoned magic in favour of melee. Magic I guess is for people who want extra challenge.

But yeah, yoyos are insane. Apparently the lead dev is a massive yoyo fan IRL. Some yoyos btw even launch homing missiles lol. I think in 1.3 they just gave up with any kind of balancing.
 
I've not played this game in yonks but am dying to catch up with it. Shame it's such a time sink and I only get about an hour's gaming a night, so I don't feel I've got a hope of getting up to speed again.
 
Today I'm linking up all the underground railways. You'll soon be able to go from one side of the map to the other on a whistle stop tour of all the biomes :)

I hope the new railway will encourage someone to log on other than myself :p

edit: Haha the railway is freakin' awesome. Still a work in progress, but it's like a Sonic the Hedgehog level already!
