We have oly plates :) they're lovely :)

We have 25/20/15/10/5 in oly plates. So about a 170 total (bar included)

We do have additional plates. Think you could easily put 300 on the bar, because we've got a few non oly heavy weights as well.

Standard Eleiko beauty. A fair bit thicker than 25s. And quite tough to pick up from flat on the floor. However, it made it so much easier to share the weights - it meant that all the 20s and 25s weren't used on the leg press, or calf raise type of machines. It made deadlifting easier (less plates to mess around with!).

Indeed. Think the new place I'm at will struggle with the amount of plates if it got really busy in the free weights area, luckily I go in the morning now so it's never too busy :p

Leg Press Warriors dontcha just love them??!!

Too weak to squat but strong enough to load every single 25kg plate in the gym onto a machine to do knee bends.... not quite strong enough to unload the ******* thing afterwards though

Mmmmmmm. The thing I quite like is that because we don't have a 40kg barbell, when I get to that weight for OHPing, I'll just stick two tens on the oly bar and go :D

Very tempted to do it for 30kg OHP as well with proper oly 5kg weights. In fact I would if I was feeling selfish, but out second oly bar tends to be in reasonable demand so feel its a bit ****ish.

I assume you use those bars with the set weights on them?

There shorter than oly bars ain't they? Never got on with them, never felt as manly as an oly.

Yeah, that's what I tend to use for BB row and OHP. DL and bench tend to be proper oly bars.

But yeah, we have two bars, but one lives on the bench, so I tend to use the shorter set weight barbells for row and OHP out of consideration for those who want to DL. It does do weird things for grip at times though, but apart from that I have no issue with it.

Jesus Christ form!

I just take ours off the bench if I need it and it's not being used.

But then we do have 4-5 oly bars, even though there isn't enough space in our sqaush court of a gym for 5 oly bars to be used at one time.

Use Oly bars with weights - they are longer, and the way it "feels" will be completely different. Sure the weight is the same, but it's a shorter bar, and as such will not have the same effect - less leverage too as well as being thinner.

That was monday. 9 20kg plates a side i think with a few 20s and 15s stacked on top. Strong knee bends

Never touched those all-in-one bars, not even curled them yet! :p

Maybe I'll do a ladder session on them.... :D

About the only thing there good for, when I do my monthly curling session.

Damn curling bores the hell out of me, I really don't enjoy doing it.

Eugh and our leg press machine (which is pretty rubbish to begin with) has a post on the top to add further weights so you get idiots who don't load the sides but put everything on that top post. It's then quite difficult to separate the weights as they're never considerate enough to put in smaller weights as spacers - I did discover that sometimes it's easier just to pick up a couple of the plates at once and avoid trying to separate them.
