460kg 2 man axle deadlift, our first time trying this.

Having someone else moving the bar while pulling it yourself is not the easiest thing in the world lol :D

Yeah, joe hitches pretty much anything over 200kg, so I have to stop at the point he does so that he can hitch it, then i can move again lol

I'm not surprised tbh, no hip drive will kill any power as you know. Sorry, not very positive but I can't help myself :p

Hello all

I require your clothes, lifting straps, and your dipping belts.
(notsrs on the clothes part)

Can anyone spec me babeh? Nothing majorly expensive, just enough to last a fair while

I think I really need to work on my squat form woke up today thinking about it and felt annoyed with myself. When I read about correct form I am never 100% sure I am doing it correctly still. I think my knees travel to far forwards and I am not sitting down into it correctly. Trouble is when I do it how I feel it should be done it just feels like I am going to fall backwards!

Think I may remove some weight from my lifts and just concentrate on each rep being slow and as controlled as possible. Could do with a training partner that can push me and has the experience for me to basically follow.

if you order some straps from MP order me some to and we can go halfs on the postage :) or visa versa

So after my physio visit yesterday it was pointed out the I have APT. It wasnt major APT but it was APT.

I have been looking in to ways of correcting this and it have seen in more then one place that i should ditch my current training and focus on correcting this for up to 8 weeks!

Is this really neseccary or should i be fine with additional focus on correcting my APT along side my normal training, bearing in mind that i will be focusing on avoiding APT during my normal training as well?

had the same problem about thinking I was going to fall back. Get some vids mate and post them up, people will be able to help more then :)

Cheers for the links all.

Syla5, shall I just get the £2 ones off of Amazon?

There not padded so its your call. If you go for amazon ones i will pass as i would prefer some padding around my wrists, the whole point of me needing straps is so that i dont have to rely on grip for RDL's etc past a certain point, so a little padding might be beneficial.

Cool, I'll order the mp ones then, so it'll be £4 + postage :)

Yup
Use Oly bars with weights - they are longer, and the way it "feels" will be completely different. Sure the weight is the same, but it's a shorter bar, and as such will not have the same effect - less leverage too as well as being thinner.

Hmm, might try it, found out today, our oly weights are made by Jordan....

Do chins - much more fun, and you get a back work out too! :D :p

I tried doing chins and pull downs having done bb row today. The pull downs were not happening as the last exercise in the list...

Had an annoying moment in the gym today. Was on 4thbset thinking, that it was going well today. I then realised that I hadn't put the extra 2.5kg on that I was supposed to today. I even knew the number I was supposed to be squatting... I just didn't do the maths right...

Did try a 1RM though for smith squat. Not quite what I want it to be yet. (Although had done 5x5 before it)

I just bought a length of chain and use that with a carabiner. It cost about £3 and is supposedly rated to 140kg ;). Ghetto style yo! :p

LOL! That is ghetto! :D I like it

I best get a decent belt, I'm not cool enough to have chains wrapped around me.
