Nice weight spoffle - I love how you're nice and controlled and then.... just drop! :D If you weren't such a "stocky" lad you'd be causing yourself all sorts of pain undoubtedly, it's great how you don't seem to brace either, you're just clearly a powerful "lump" (I mean that in no disrespect).

Not the best technique, but it is clear as has been said before you are just naturally very powerful - and I'm very envious of that natural ability!

Now, if you were to gett some expert coaching, lost a bit of weight, you'd be giving Tom Martin a run for his money! Very impressive. Just wish you tapped into your awesome potential.

I hope you don't take this post the wrong way.

so much untapped potential going to waste..... one day i really hope serge just slaps spoffle round the face and says wake the **** up man and lets do this lifting **** properly!

Awesoming lifting that could be sooooooooooooooooooooo much better.

Jealous, no, i wont ever be as naturally strong, envious of the position your in to take advantage of what youve been gifted with, yes, annoyed by your apparent lack of realisation of how lucky you are, and how good you could be....Definitely.

Gained 10lbs in 5 weeks dirty bulking.. Feelsbadman.

Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

On the gains front, provided you flubbed out whilst getting massively strong (or relative to what you were/whatever), then so what? Also remember than you could actually be storing a bucketload of glycogen (one of the annoying things about dirty bulking is it masquerades as "bulking" when you're actually just satisfying your muscles' glycogen requirements, and retaining water in the process)...

Unless you want to be a beach model, of course...

This is my excuse for being a fatty, apart from I'm missing the getting massively strong bit :o

I'm not sure what you mean about not bracing. I haven't taken any offense, or seen it as disrespect though. Lifting is something I've just messed around with and do for fun. I am actually going to make the effort to start squatting regularly though. I can just be... lazy at times...

As above, it's just something I've done for fun, I've never really taken it seriously. Though I do realise I probably should, and Serge has been mildly convincing in his argument for why I should run the smolov programme for squatting and bench press. :p

Doesn't look even close to parallel.

Looks can be deceiving. :)

I noticed you bracing at the top of the lift, it seems to give out when you drop down though which is completely understandable the first time trying that weight.

I braced my stomach, I was testing earlier on that day with it, and I'll fold forward if I don't brace with my stomach. I've actually done that weight before, just not for a pause, as I'm doing all my lifts with a pause now, it feels a lot more comfortable and helps me loads with keeping the bar path as straight as I can.

wow if i was in a position where i did something just for fun and realised i could potentially be really good at something i would start to take it more seriously.

By really good, go take a look at some of the power lifting records for weight catergories you could probably contend in with some weight loss work. Or have you considered strongman competition.

Not everyone is in your position where they can potentially be very competitive.
