*** The 2017 Gym Rats Thread ***

You guys joke but I've spoke to people who think cardio is a gains monster. They have done 5 minutes hill walking and now that 40 minutes of half rep bench press will go to waste.
 
First time since I was a teenager that I have failed mid set on the bench press. Luckily there was a guy in the squat rack behind me who grabbed it off me. Of course if I had been a little smarter I would have just widened my grip from close bench grip and would have solved the problem :D

Completely drained of energy today. Need to rest well for deadlift day tomorrow :eek:
 
I find the best way to know how long to pause is to say in your head "whose stupid idea was this anyway, that mrthingyx is always to blame for this sort of thing". Works for me anyway!
 
Still not actually done anything yet but have tidied the garage up, repositioned the rack and found the plans to build the low row/lat tower!

Oh and I've cut my left foot somehow :s

Watching back I did 29 reps. Doh!

Clearly took too long having breathers as did 15 in 1 min then died lol.
 
Oh and box squats are awesome when done right.
In fact most squat variations are awesome.

Try yoke squats, even worse than cambered bar squats for swinging weight!

I tried to be tactical about it and seems I can't count to 10 while lifting. Muppet lol
