Get a second battery. There's the official 6 cell and a few unofficial 9 cell batteries available now. I imagine used 3-cell batteries will start appearing soon.

I think all the < 1kg 9"/10" screen netbooks have similar battery life. It's a trade off with compact size and light weight with short battery life or bulkier and heavier for a longer battery life.

I have vista all set-up now and it runs great, I am thinking of getting an SDHC card to use ready boost and install my most used programs to.

I used vlite to take all the languages etc out to reduce the size and then I have disabled a few services that I don't need, but apart from that it is a standard install. Runs fine with Aero turned on

Today I installed another 1gb of ram to my AAO (8gb SSD model), and installed EWF to the XP pro installation, and it's really quite nippy now. :cool:

I don't know, I haven't tested it. Certainly significantly quicker than the write speeds.

Right, ordered one of these for my Mum. It's the linux version, so is there a way I can make it possible for her to talk to people using the webcam in it and MSN/another service? Is there some software already on for that or am I going to need to find some?

Yes to do the live updates, msn wouldnt work on mine until i did them!

Did all the updating last night, really impressed with the little thing.

Can you not use the webcam with MSN on it then? I'm sure there was an option for it when I was looking !

Not tried the webcam with MSN but with skype the cam worked fine with me.
