********** The all new "Official" iPhone 4S thread - Keep all the iPhone 4S stuff in here **********

What contract is everyone on? I was thinking about picking up an iphone 4/4S, but already cut it fine financially every month. I save a bit for my next travels, but could technically afford an iphone. The contracts seem to be ridiculous though, especially when I'm after a 12 month. Has anyone found any incredible deals?

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one having issues with the phone. Taking it back to Carphone Warehouse soon and telling them about the loud speaker distortion but it is pretty hard to hear sometimes so I don't think they'll do a replacement.

I would go for a different phone again but there's only either the Nexus or the new xperia which has awful battery life. :(

Take it back to apple and they will replace it

Not being funny m8 but i hav'nt heard anyone else complaining about the things you describe so either you're very unlucky or very very picky.

the later!

Had a Galaxy S 2 recently. Hated it, found a lit of niggly problems with it that annoyed me. Sent it back, got a cheap budget Android Phone but it's great for what I use it for. :)
I'm just to anal for a GS2. I want an iPhone 4S. :p

/runs
Going to go back tomorrow and go for yet ANOTHER handset... UGH!

Righto then!

I am picky but equally unlucky. The ear piece buzz affects a lot of people if you look on the apple forums. This unit alsO has the horrible yellow tint to it. Love the device, hate the little faults, it's going back for good.

The Apple forums are almost exclusively full of people complaining, considering how many iPhones there are, they don't really have many problems.

I don't think you'll ever find a device you are happy with, if you obsessively pick at everything, you'll always find faults. Always. It really is a mental thing as much as anything.

Not being able to make calls properly is a deal breaker though surely, in anyone's situation.

I love reading this thread now all because of tom_D!

As robbo said, give Tom any device and it will be guaranteed that there will be a fault with it.

:D :p

I would quote all your posts from the GS 2 thread here, but quite frankly there are just too many to quote :p :D

It's just in my nature to be picky. :p With the GS2 maybe I was overly so but the problems I've faced with the 4S have been genuine.

Currently on 4 hours 15 minutes usage with 24 hours standby and at 35% with this new handset.

However, thats with half the time on 2g, toggling 3g off.

My ear piece has gone considerably worse now and I keep getting 'no service'. Is it possible it could be the actual sim card causing no service?

Cheers
