********** The all new "Official" iPhone 4S thread - Keep all the iPhone 4S stuff in here **********

It will be 512MB the same as the iPad2. I highly doubt it will be 1GB.

It really means nothing at the end of the day what it is.

It is like a game console, you can compare spec all you want but what matters most is the games, in this case, the apps.

Each developer will tweak and code for each platform to run best on it, so all these "my galaxy has more ram than your iPhone" is meaningless.

They both play Angry Birds.

Anyway, I don't bother to get concern about phone spec these days, it's not like you can upgrade it. You can't take the same PC mentality to a phone. I can't understand why people do.

And that all goes out of the window as soon as your jailbreak which means by running all these tweaks you'll soon eat into it. I hope for god its 1gig.

Pah looking at all the 'new' unlocked iphone 4's on ebay I'm thinking it's not worth the hassle. May as well spend the extra £70-£80 and just buy myself one of these instead.

An advertised new one on there 16gb is £400+ I was expectimg that on apple uk but they pulled them. Not sure it's worth the risk on ebay to get someones refurb replacement :)

Just checked my iTunes folder:

Music is 37GB so if I wanted all my music on there I'd have to get a 64GB phone.

That's Apple Lossless though so I could get a 32GB, compress the songs and still have room for apps etc.

Hmmmm...

Most of mine is in Apple Lossless, my main library is nearly 120Gb but I ticked the 'convert to 128k' box and that 120Gb compresses down to around 30Gb on my iPad. Much as I like lossless on my computer I don't feel that having 128k files on my iDevice is a problem.

I'll be ordering as soon as it goes live, IMO the spec improvements look like a sensible evolution and a step forward, I would have liked a new design like everyone else but its not a deal breaker for me.

Probably go for a white 32GB as I've always had black iPhones.
