Bottom of the table.

Wi-Fi browsing is also down 1hr on the 4S according to the extended stats of each device :(

Weak. lol at the 300 hour standby time. I took my 3GS on holiday with me and didnt use it at all, checked it after a day and a half and it had no battery when I checked it.

12.5 days standby time my eye

...RIP Steve Jobs. Didnt hear anything yesterday

edit - Is the 4S for preorders tomorrow at 8am or 7am? Apple store app says 8am but other info states 7am

Just done a bit of research into UK pricing, Sim free iPhones 4S - 16GB for £399, 32GB for £579 64GB for £659. This is unconfirmed though. Looks like they're trying to push contracts on people. I got my i4 16GB on eBay for £200, looks like a contract might finally be worth it, but nobody except 3 is offering unlimited data at the moment

It states on Apples site its from £499.

Someone also posted screenshots (feek I believe) of the price breakdown as

£499
£599
£699

This picture is even more sad now - his seat :(

Damn that is a sad image.

:(

Just checked my iTunes folder:

Music is 37GB so if I wanted all my music on there I'd have to get a 64GB phone.

That's Apple Lossless though so I could get a 32GB, compress the songs and still have room for apps etc.

Hmmmm...

If only Apple supported microsd cards, you could get a 64GB card and have 128GB of storage.

The thing that I wonder about to do with the screens is: if they make the screen bigger, what resolution would they use?

They'd either have to:

- keep the resolution the same, meaning it wouldn't be 'Retina' (326ppi) anymore
- Keep it at Retina levels, meaning we'd have an irregular new size and all apps would need to be resized
- Use some multiplier of the current levels (eg 1.5 the number of pixels), so that apps could be rescaled more easily, but this would mean cramming even more pixels into a small space

I can't see them creating a new size as all current apps would look odd on it, I don't think they'd keep the resolution the same, as the ppi would decrease, making for a worse screen overall, so would they have to use the third option?

I quoted this exact same argument to one of my anti-Apple, Android mates the other day and he just said it was a stupid reason. I'd like to think it is these reasons though.

I'm happy with the current size of the screens. I've seen the SGS2 in the flesh and that looks far too big for my liking. I don't feel the need why everything needs to be bigger than everything that came before it. My eyesight isn't that great but I'm not blind either. It's not like 10"+ tablets or 32"+ TVs are going away any time soon to watch content on

Does anyone know if it has been confirmed, if the iPhone 4 will drop in price?
Once the iPhone 4s is released?

Orange are still offering 25% off the line rental to local government employees, but from speaking to Orange sales assistant today he doesn't believe the offer will be available on the 4s. (When the 4 originally came out, the offer wasn't on new contracts buying an iPhone 4)

Now would be a good time to get an iPhone 4 before all the 16GB and 32GB models dry up.

Trouble is I am in catch 22, Do I buy an iPhone 4 16GB now and get the discount.
Or
Wait until the 4s is released and see if the price of the 4 drops, but run the risk of only securing an 8GB version?

What would you do :)

Where is this info from.

I would be a lot more happied paying £399 than £499 as the apple store states

"From £499"

I very much doubt they will drop in price for a while
