Not tried it tonight...here goes...:)

Edit: Nope. Grrrgh. Give up with this game TBH. There was a browser plugin update so got my hopes up. In the game for 30 seconds then kicked.

It is probably an Nvidia thing. BF4 has stopped working errors are happening now and pretty fed up :(

Shankly has this game sussed and knows how to get it to play well and having never had a crash except when the server went down is pretty impressive for someone who has been on it as much as he has. I have lost count of the amount of crashes I have had over the last couple of weeks :(
 
I might open it up and quickly dial down the settings as I'm sure when I first went on after I'd formatted it was on medium and it didn't kick me.

Edit: Nope, officially out of ideas. So long Battlefield, you had a good run.


Mantle is too little too late with this number. Someone else will have to pick up the pieces for Advanced Made a Doo Doo co.

Well my highest temp is 52c on the GPU and 71c on the CPU, so I know they are not the reason. It is frustrating and is happening with more regularity now.
 
I was pretty much bombing out once per map rotation. Some days it could be multiple times, occasionally I could play a full map.

Some patterns were forming then after patches they may happen but with a different error/behaviour. Went back to PS2 for a few days as got fed up of crashes and had no problems.

I guess it is my own fault. I sat here a week ago and bragged that I wasn't crashing at all and it must be people's systems/Overclocks that were the reason for the crashing....Meh!!! Me and my big fat fingers :(
 
Aye, well, when a lot of people were complaining on here about crashing I wasn't getting any at all LOL.

As the American kiddies say on all the forums "FIX YOUR ****" ,DICE.
 
Had a few good games tonight, no crashes luckily either which is nice.

Sad news is after this weekend it looks like I'll be waving goodbye to my 290X:(, I've been offered a crazy deal on sli 780ti so going to give it a go I think.

It'll be my first time in the green team since my very old GeForce mx440 lol.

This! :)

Don't blame your system. I tried so many things and even after using a different SSD and installing fresh win 8.1 crashes still happen. Everything on default with no OC still gave problems so after a while you give up and concede the game is just broken.

Waiting for the next major patch before giving it another go, saying that isnt mantle due soon?

I think you are right, as when I look around, all the forums have only Nvidia users crashing and every AMD poster is like this :rolleyes:

Ever since BF4 was announced it seems that people have wanted it to fail on NVidia hardware. I am still laughing at the "you need 3gb to run the game" as my GTX 690s are still able to run it @1600p maxed out without any problems.:D

Having said that though as far as the game crashing goes, I can see the problems getting much worse with the game and the AMD cards being very badly hit.

Being something totally new, when Mantle arrives it could bring with it more bugs than a Kremlin bathroom.
