Got my 780ti yesterday. Paired with a 2500k im averaging around 75 with drops to 40 to 50 during action moments. This is everything at ultra with HBAO and 4x mxaa. Much smoother than my old cfx 5850s but a bit disappointed I don't get 60+ constantly

The board linked is one of the most popular ones on here and gets reccomended 9/10 for hw builds. Incredibly good value and an overclockers dream. Faster ram kit too than the one in the bundle. Depending on what your cooler is and wether it has a bracket for s1150 and your good to go. The above comes to £488.57 incl vat and shipping.

Would think your 2500K might be a bit of a bottleneck in BF4, it loves more cores/threads I think that a standard quad core.
I have a Corsair H50 so I can't use that mate.
That lot is a lot better than what I would have chosen thanks.
Cheers, would a 4770k lift that bottleneck or a 4930k? I keep putting it off as matt knows.
not getting any bottlenecking on an i7 930 @ 3.9Ghz with a 7870XT @ 1200 / 1563, its about as quick as a stock 7970 GE. i think.

I've got to the bottom of my problem with this game. and my crossfired 7970s.
For some reason the default graphics setting for the display mode was borderless.
I changed it to fullscreen and have gained a massive improvement in FPS.
I never thought that it would matter but it has and i'm over the moon
Obviously crossfire needs to be in fullscreen to run in crossfire.
I'm not seeing dips of 45 FPS anymore and have saved myself £600 notes
Schoolboy error on my part?
No game works in Crossfire if you are in windowed mode.
