Whilst I cannot dissuade you (or even try to convince as your mind is set) I can tell you now that your current rig will smash BF4. I would give it a try as bugofhums above has said and report back.

hey

i am still getting black screen freeze in BF4 with the below spec. Running under water at 1150,1450 on my r290x any ideas ? also running the new beta 14.3

Using MSI afterburner
core vol +100
Power Limit +50

what is AUX vol should i adjust this ?

Let afterburner or something log your clocks as you play and see what your core clock is doing. Sounds like the core is stuck at lower clocks or something.
 
You dont have to fire up BF4 to change API.


Documents > Battlefield 4 > Settings > PROFSAVE_profile (I open this with Wordpad) then..

GstRender.MantleEnabled 0 = DX
GstRender.MantleEnabled 1 = Mantle

Then just hit Save.

Job done ;)

Damn Matt.. i thought u wudda had this one covered :D Plenty more options in there to change too :)

Btw Matt did they change the screenshot command in the console? I noticed its Screenshot.Render and not Render.Screenshot that u have in one of your threads.
