What drops? I benched it as i was recording. Temps were in the low 70's.

Right at the very start, after you show the settings it is dropping 50 odd frames and you are not even moving. Something looks wrong with that and with nothing happening on screen, I wondered if it wasn't temp related or the game or Mantle?

It was a genuine question, as I don't recall that ever happening to me at 4K and frames would stay solid in static positions.

May of been when i had pressed enter to escape the menus, there was a big spike then. Thankfully gameplay is never like that and my gpu's lines are as flat as can be. (as you will shortly see) How are yours in tri sli?

1080P results will be up shortly. :)
 
Iirc I used some fov calculator site, cant remember what one though. As your on 1080p it may well look a bit different from my 16:10 aspect ratio.

I just had a quick look at 200% scaling from 1080P (3840x2160 effective) and my line is very good. Not as flat as a single card but very smooth. I didn't get any big drops like you are getting, which is strange and I wonder if there isn't something going on?

Post up a video comparison and include the overlay graphs, always interesting to see.
 
200% is a no go here with max settings, no msaa and high is playable enough. 150% is no problem. That's with the games inbuilt scaling. DSR offers a good range of resolutions to try.

4K is actually only about 5%-10% or so more demanding than 200% res scaling at 1080P i found. There is not a huge amount of difference in it.

But nope, someone's touched the mantle nerve again :rolleyes:

Every time someone doubts or questions mantle, that person gets jumped on like their opinion isn't relevant. Leave it out and get along.

Different people have different perceptions, deal with it.

A little Austrian fella 75 years ago wanted everyone to fall in line with his view, look how well that worked out :p

We having a compare benchmarks?? this thread been going for how long now? and this the first time we have seen proper benchmarks posted...

Nah, I have also had enough and I don't even like the game but it was good banter between me and Shankly. A shame others didn't take it that way but that is OcUK for ya and I should have known what to expect.

Good job on the video's and a notch on your belt for sure. Well done.
