hmmm interesting. I'll be waiting until after the full game drops before deciding on any future upgrades to power both my 7950's..looks like this one will be in my shopping basket at some point http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-403-IN&groupid=701&catid=6&subcat=1859 Man I cant stop spending money at the moment lol..then there will be a 1440 panel after that haha
edit...hopefully the price will come down a little, quite steep if you ask me considering you can get a 4th gen for the same money
Just a word of warning, if you go 1440p the urge to go tri-fire will strike you eventually.

its not just i5s its all cpus and the stuttering effects all cpus.

Nope, still buttery smooth. Just could be nearer 100fps average and not about 75fps if I had an i7

I'm having a battle with myself about getting an i7. One part of me is saying "come one, the game is perfectly playable as it is, minimums fps of mid 50's is great, don't worry about it, your i5 is fine!" the other part of me (the geek, I suspect) is saying "You bought sli 670's and you aren't making the most of them. You MONSTER, buy an i7 right away, you could have even higher framerates, who cares that you only have a 60hz monitor and wont notice the difference"

Well that kinda blows the i5 is useless argument* out of the water - especially when you're giving it even more hassle with an sli bottleneck eh?

It's only natural to want to make the most of what you've got
If you can justify the expense, go for it.
Indeed. It isn't useless, far from it. I just know an i7 would allow my 670's to spread their wings a bit more and be used at nearly 100% usage rather than anywhere between 65-85%
