Memory use on the gpu is pretty low for me on bf4 maxed, 1900mb. I should have maybe kept my 2gb wf 670's in sli. System ram wise, it only uses 4gb of my ram which is clocked pretty high.
Yep it used around 1800mb on my 680.

This. Always learn from the LT. In the ways of life, the ways of your amd gpu and even the ways of your woman.
So what we're saying is that with Mantle I need to turn the settings down so the game looks worse than it does under DirectX?
Not for me, but for you, most likely.![]()

I expect things to improve its a beta IMO still with Mantle.
but the smoothness I have with mantle, you dont have with any nvidia card.
playing with 3 screens and have its working as good as one, its simply is amazing.
so while people are sarcastic, the smoothness factor slides that over.

I hardly get any tearing with Mantle when vsync is off but with DX and vsync off its really bad.. go figure![]()
Mantle will be a bit like Gsync i think. In regards that you think something is perfectly smooth, then you try it (Mantle/Gsync) and it opens your eyes to increased smoothness that you just didn't think was possible before. Its hard to explain but you just have to try it yourself to believe/understand it. Of course there will no doubt be people that try either Mantle/Gsync and can't notice any difference/improvement. Those people will likely be in the minority though.
Which cards Kaap?
The supersample/resolution scale is basically downsampling, it takes a higher resolution and compresses it down to your resolution. So 100% is native, 200% is 2x resolution (I think!).
So if I know my Kaapy and I like to think I do, thats 4 x 290X @ 1600p, ultra with around abouts 4K worth of sampling, impressive averages, be interesting to see where that minimum came from.
What render and drivers are you using Kaapilini?
Not sure if you'll have enough vram for 200% res scale. Mantle uses more vram than DX , so something to consider. You need 14.2 beta if you want to use Mantle. 14.2 are not very good for benching though, but they run Mantle like a dream.
