It's in two parts though. You'd only fall foul of the law if you decided to claim that the holocaust didn't happen and in your next breath decided to try and get the crowd to follow you on a shop burning rampage.

So questioning some of the details of the holocaust should result in punishment? You may not be denying the holocaust but questioning some outlying facet but the mere motion you have gone against the narrative regardless of if true or not renders you open to prosecution? Hmmm sounds like Fascism to me.

.

Which genocides? And what would you say which you think would be a problem?

Well, if I said there were other genocides that were ignored and advocated and asked why attention isn't given to those I could be twisted as being a holocaust denier by the very implicitly arguable fact I have neglected to give it credence (despite the holocaust being the 2nd largest genocide in terms of numbers).

The holocaust was a somewhat unique event in relation to its purpose a solution and methods of achieving it. I do believe it was one of the greatest crimes (if not the greatest) crime humanity has ever done to itself. But again, there are small snippets of history that blur the lines between black and white of what we are taught.

Can you read?

Jews are completely irrelevant in this topic and you can't help yourself bringing them up. What is it with you people and Antisemitism? Do you have courses at far right summer camp or what?

Back off you tool!

I'm not anti semitic. This exactly proves my point.

As you callously jumped in, we were relating EU rules on hate speech and their definition. Saved you the trouble of reading double digit pages to get with the programme

Can you read?

Yes of course. I don't really need to justify my position any further as Zethor has kindly interloped and shown the drivel and instant right to offence despite not considering the position and context.

By keeping it reasonable and rational... Yep I was trying to

It's just that you had me fooled because you either missed or ignored the qualifier of "when the conduct is carried out in a manner likely to incite violence or hatred against such a group or a member of such a group.". Your fears of being found guilty of an offense are unfounded unless you believe that you have the right to incite violence against a group.

I'm not anti-semitic but I randomly bring up the Holocaust in an unrelated issue. I'm not saying it's aliens... but it's aliens.

Both myself and the other half both work in the UK for the European HQ's of two very large multinational companies. Both would likely eventually lose our jobs if the UK left the EU and so for the first time and because we have a young child, we are both going to be more selfish than we might do normally when voting.

Fact is we have always lived our lives within the EU project and we feel that we are reaping the benefits, not just through our employment but generally and so we would like to keep it that way.

Anyone that believes for one second that Boris and Gove are sincere in their stance also needs to have a little think about what they really want for themselves, I do not believe it is for the good of the country.

I dunno why people are conflating the ECHR definition of human rights with the EU's policy decisions, especially the Brimainians who love telling us they are two different and separate institutions.

You called me anti Semitic though. Then come in headlong into a topic train you have no clue about. Contribute without labelling me (a person who has Jewish ancestry and is partnered to somebody who is a good portion Jewish).

I made a link between legislation and its affects. You and your belligerent idiocy in making such an asinine statement goes against what was arising from the discussion.

Well we've just seen that exact thing arise haven't we :-)

Point proven. Talking around one aspect while being seen to ignore what is shall we say transiently more so considered results in what has just occurred.

no thanks, the fact they called it a Brexit movie means it's a:p fantasy :

Oh dear another blinkered person.

I was thinking of voting to stay, cause I have no children & so what ever happen to UK if we vote to stay wont make much difference to me at my age. It's your children & your children children that will suffer the endless migration & unemployment & loss of the NHS all the things that you enjoy.

So maybe I should to stay & screw your kids over...Sounds like a plan.
