The 680 is the high end bracket, but the core that's in that 680 was for the mid range part.

Because its based on a midrange chip, the GK104, though Gibbo said that the GTX680 IS the single chip high end card this year.
We won't be seeing the GK110 for quite some time.
Because in order to be a true high end card it has to be 40% better than the last high end card, 30% better is unacceptable and is therefore clearly an over priced, illegally named, low - mid ranged product.
The AMD fanboys, people who cannot afford it & NVIDIA industrial espionage operatives on this forum have spoken.
