have to say nfs shift is looking better in regards actual gameplay graphics ? just compared the new forza 3 vid and nfs shift vid on gametrailers and nfs shift looks leagues ahead.

I think NFS shift looks better in the sense of immersion, but to be honest not many other games come close (dirt 2/grid maybe). But Forza looks better in actual modelling/frame rate etc.

The models in SHIFT arnt that great and remember its 30FPS on consoles.
What it does do is create that adrenaline racing sensation, has a great sense of speed and creates a lot of atmosphere it seems from the videos shown.

I think their going to be both very different but yet in a good way both excellent.

SHIFT is the one game Ive been waiting for to use in my upcoming 5 wheel comparison guide.

Shift is goign to be fun, no doubt, but I just don't see it having the longevity of Forza, its the kinda game I'll happily play hardcore for a week or 2, then it'll just be picked up every now and again for a quick blast, nothing wrong with that at all, I'm sure it will be a really good game, looking forward to playing it, but as everyone know, Forza will be played to death by me :)
 
Ooh apparently restriction/derestriction plates are in, so can limit your cars as racecars I assume? And also move race cars up the classes if I get this correctly! :)
 
That youtube short is missing some of the footage, there's an extended version with a cut of a Veyron doing a drag start and then an AE86 in the mountains drifting (who'd a thunk it).

What view is everyone planning on using?

I always used front bump in forza 2 due to having the mirror but I may switch to bonnet.

**** pit is good.....doubt I doubt I'll race liek that.
 
Cockpit... The only way to drive, especially when Natal is released and hopefully they'll allow you to control the head movement with in the cockpit!
