***The Official Forza Motorsport 3 Thread***

Well there's no law against criticism, the evidence is plain to see.

I'm no Forza fanboy but I'll still be getting it, it just astonishes me that cars can go through one another I don't remember the last racing game to have such a glaring problem.

It's quite prevalent in all these type of games if you look closely enough, this time around, the game is under a microscope at the moment and glitches are being found, and it's the new thing to expose them.. Dirt2 and NFS Shift have issues, hell, even the GT5 demo had cars disappearing into each other, it's clearly something not enough attention is paid to from a visual perspective.. T10 has asked all glitches to be recorded by the early 'green disk' reviewers, so hopefully even the rare glitches will be patched quickly.

From the reviews so far, it clearly isn't prevalent, glitches have been mentioned, but only in a 'very rarely' kind of way, however, if you stage things, ou can re-create them if you wish.. it depends what you want to do..

If you read the article that goes with the pictures, it doesn't sound like anything major to worry about?

just got my copy now thanks to Mr Parcelforce, tried the above settings but didn't work, really think the cockpit view is pants seems it needs to be zoomed out just a bit to view rear mirror etc.
Has anyone else tried the settings or have other suggestions?

To test it, set the degrees between screens to 90 (widest view), and you have to restart the game (go to dashboard, then re-launch) for the settings to take effect..

I cant believe it, the post man came before 11 and he brought me this

Really enjoying this game!!!

The small cars are just so much fun, and I thought I'd delve into the Vinyl Editor (Number plates) for the first time ever, hopefully this game will keep me fully occupied for a long time..

I thought they said a while back that wouldn't be possible to patch in

Good stuff though, that's going to probably be a big download though! Lot of animations to do.

It is a tiny update, took 2 seconds (literally) to download.. Most the animation functionality must have already been in the game..

Shame my MS wheel is receiving some 'mods' (Clutch switch down on the pedals) as soon as I get it back together, I'll be giving the game some proper time!

What would make me happy is some sort of resolution on the sound issues, but this pack will put an end to at least some of the inane posts over at forzamotorsport.net with it's inclusion of the 2010 Nissan GTR SpecV.

They are working on another title update (a.k.a Patch) that they are trying to complete before Christmas..

I don't have any sound issues myself, but hope they do fix it, because it does seem to be driving people up the wall!..

with Forza 3 and steering wheels, are there any tweaks that can be changed ingame to make it easier to drive using a wheel/pedals?

I find it's very responsive - but then I've always been a padder - and I seem to have a very heavy left braking foot.

Any advice?

With regards to braking, people often put half a tennis ball, or even a thick pair of socks under the pedal to give it some extra resistance!

You can adjust the 'range' of the pedal travel in the Controller options (My Profile->Controller->Advanced) , but none will reduce the sensitivity..

You can reduce the braking force (tuning option) on some cars, which can help a lot, but after a while you just get used to the braking, it is weird at first, but I don't find it much of an issue these days..

Agree....an option would be nice.

Yep, it totally ruins some races, especially in higher car classes where launching requires careful rev/throttle balancing, you have what seems 1/2 a second to set your self, which leads to too many fluffed launches...

There are plenty of little things T10 should improve via patches/updates, lets hope they do.. If PD release a totally polished game this year, I am sure a lot of disgruntled people will flood over to it, as it's always the small things that sometimes niggle the most..

I only ventured in public lobbies when the added they RWD ones the other day.

I raced in about 5 different Class C RWD lobbies, and all the racing was excellent, sure the odd minor bump every now and again, but to be honest, everyone near the front was being very vigilant..

Top results all around...

Mind you, if you want a really top quality experience, and want uber-clean/fair racing, you really want to do what has always been necessary, and join in on all the more dedicated forum events accross the web...

I fear the RS1600 is going to be overlooked.. old skool rear wheel drive, and very good to look at (IMO)..

But it does look like the RS500 and Merc 190 are popular, and they are two I'd really love to be in the pack

And the Jalopnik Winners are in..

1983 Volvo 242 Group A Homologated
1982 DeLorean DMC-12
1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth
1982 Lancia 037 Stradale
1973 BMW 2002 Turbo
1971 De Tomaso Pantera
1987 Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500
1977 Saab 99 Turbo
1990 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evo II

1984 BMW M635CSi
1971 AMC Javelin AMX
1992 GMC Syclone
1988 Mitsubishi Starion ESI-R
1986 Dodge Shelby Omni GLHS

Nice the two Cossies made it through and the Merc 190, and possibly the 99 Turbo,

But clearly all this golden ticket nonsense was just pushing 5 cars through they wanted!! Apparantly all 15 should hopefully make it in to the pack! (1 more to be announced shortly in addition to the above 14)

Also, it's been tweeted that some news of Feb DLC will be made in todays pitpass, I assume this isn't Jalopnik stuff, since that's for the summer..
