*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

It's software not designed for that particular phone in the eyes of the network provider so it would yeah.

Which is why rooting methods are the best way because you can create a Nandroid backup.

Re: Pinky screen

I have found like other people that max brightness makes it just about normal, but anything less adds a pinky tint. What to do?

Ah OK, I guess I will wait then as I would definitely want to take a backup. I can live with some Orange branding for a while.

If you think its a problem then ask for a replacement.

Yup this is what i would do...hopefully mine wont have the pinky screen...if it does then its going back till i get one that doesnt suffer from the pinky screen...although ill see how i get on with it ie if its a problem for me or not.

I'm guessing if you load a non-default ROM you void warranty?

You void the software warranty. Some people claim that you can put the software back the way it was without any trace of it.

The hardware warranty should be intact, but this depends on the company as some are reluctant to acknowledge this.

I can see it being a right pita trying to explain that one to customer service :p

I think ill see if it develops for a few days then if no change ill send it back.

If it's part of the technology then every replacement will have it :p

Just get the phone and enjoy it rather than trying to pick out faults to intentionally **** you off. If this wasn't mentioned on the internet then 90% of people wouldn't notice it and if they did, they really wouldn't care about something soo minor.

*Will eat my words if I get a pinky one and moan like a cheap whore*

This is what puts me off sending it back.

I didn't see it anywhere on the internet before switching my phone on. It was my honest unbiased opinion.

Ahoy everyone,

I might go onto the Virgin contract for £30 a month
800 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited internet

I am a new customer, does that seem like a good deal and how good are virgin network in regards to internet allowance, signal strengths and so on...

You do have a point there...but ill be wanting a video of you eating some words if you moan about it:p.

I dont think its going to be that big an issue for me...got another 40 odd mins before i get home to unwrap mine...as long as the phone works perfectly fine im a happy bunny.
