***The Official HTC Sensation thread***

I wonder which would have had the bigger number of sales if they both came out on the same day.

Regardless of what a handful of people think though, 3 sales a second can't be wrong. Asian sales accounting for the majority of those and since Asians complain about anything and everything big or small the most (I know from experience...) it would have been a big huff puff by now.

@@ Robbo and Khan - dude's come on wtf! - Theres a thread for discussing the Sensation v's the SGSII, Then theres also a thread for discussing the SGSII aswell - Why do you have to big up your insecurities over the SGSII in this thread!!?!?!? :p (In fact, don't answer that - just stick to them two threads and stop killing the sensation ones)

It's the same the internet over - SGSII users literally crying about how good their phone is in Sensation threads- YES WE GET IT!

Erm I'm responding to some of the comments about build quality, if those people can comment on build quality of the gs in this thread then I can respond to those comments in this thread too?

I haven't said anything incorrect or out of line so far either.

Seems you're the one with an insecurity complex dude :/

If those people commented about the build quality in the sgs2 thread then I'm happy to debate all day long in there.

We aren't doing that though, insecurities? What insecurities?

Stop talking rubbish and stop getting upset over silly things :p

Very well, but as I said this is a mobile forum, comparisons are going to be made between two 'similar' phones. It will happen, it has happened in all 'Official X phone' threads to date and it will continue to happen.

It's not just simple comparisons is it? Anyone who 'compares' unfavourably with the SGS2 is jumped on.

Regardless of what a handful of people think though, 3 sales a second can't be wrong.

Well they can, are you honestly saying if something sells well it must be great? How quickly do X-Factor Number 1's sell?

That said I'm not even sure what your point is. Nobody is saying the Samsung is crap, they are just explaining which aspects they didnt like but then getting jumped on.

Get over it guys - I'm not getting upset lol- just pointing out the fact that all this 'ZOMG SGSII pwns' crap should be kept where it belongs - in the SGSII thread. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions - 'insecurities' is the best word to use for those trolling other threads that in the slightest mention a SGSII in a negative manner. Pointed out by many, and even some SGSII users lol

They aren't 'jumped on' though, as I said earlier, I didn't really agree with people saying it feels nasty, but I can see where they are coming from.

You know full well that I know what the plus points of the Sensation are and there will certainly be a lot of people who will still buy it either way, its not a bad phone.

In honesty I'm pretty annoyed that HTC made such a (comparatively) bad job of the hardware spec and that we're even in this situation, I think like-for-like most people would have gone for the Sensation.

You clearly are getting upset. Trolling? Haha, what?

Jumped on by whom? I've seen replies to the T3 review comments and I have replied to them myself. Magazine reviewers are always like that anyway. No phone I have ever held has been "nasty nasty nasty" and up until someone posted about the T3 review nobody had related any phone to that word (unless I missed something in which case I apologise) and now all of a sudden that;s what it is. Does it not make you question why it's only T3 of all magazines that have said that so bluntly considering the number of articles out there on it?

My point is just as you're saying SGSII owners are bandwagoning on any negative points to the SGSII (it does have them) you and others are bandwagoning in the opposite direction at the same time.

Now you might say that's not the case but the same can be said the other way round as well.

If you feel people are being "Jumped on" then I think you're either too sensitive or only reading into things how you want to read into them, which isn't exactly something new here.

Same 2 SGSII users posting in this thread about 'negative' points about the SGSII.

Point made.

Nope, you have no point other than being very upset.

You might not have noticed this is a mobile phone discussion forum, it is being discussed, other people can do it without throwing their toys out of the pram, so why can't you?

Jumped on by whom?

You.

My point is just as you're saying SGSII owners are bandwagoning on any negative points to the SGSII (it does have them) you and others are bandwagoning in the opposite direction at the same time.

I'm not bandwagoning at all, I'm umm-ing and aaah-ing over which phone to buy and forming my own opinions on what I think the pros and cons are of both.

The T3 thing was just amusing in that they came to the same conclusion both Dandle and myself had come to before reading the article.

Then getting told I'm wrong by you, wearing your Samsung t-shirt and Samsung baseball cap.

LOL - no ones throwing anything anywhere.

your still posting about your SGSII in a Sensation thread. Here, let me point you to the correct location: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18277742

I'm only mentioning it as a result of you questioning me about it. I'm also thinking of buying one anyway, and even if not, I have every right to post here as much as you do.

I'm just forming my own opinions about it and discussing the pros and cons like everyone else. It would be boring if we all agreed wouldn't it?

Well you of all people know how I feel about the look and feel of things and what condition I like to see them in, I'm more anal than you are in fact, and you're pretty anal.

So if I read that T3 article and thought they were wrong on that particular reference then that doesn't make me somehow some kind of samsung baseball cap wearer or something.

Agreed, no worries dude. Just trying to seperate out the arguments of Sensation V's SGSII as I think all the valid points are covered in the thread entitled that.

Just don't want to get this thread into the same state as the ones on XDA ;)

What with HTC now making the Sense SDK - I think we've got interesting times ahead for the Sensation :)

It seems the Sensation may have an iPhone-esque antenna design flaw... but worse  -

Looks like there might be trouble in paradise for HTC fans. Nordic Hardware’s tests have proven that the new HTC Sensation also suffers from the same dreaded death grip as the iPhone 4 but this time it also affects the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity of the phone.

Update: We saw some users suggesting that putting on a cover on the Sensation might solve the death grip issue as it does on the iPhone 4. The thing is, the reason a cover works on the iPhone 4 is because it prevents the user from bridging the gap on the antennas on the side and shorting them. On the Sensation, it happens because you are physically blocking the antenna, thus reducing it's effectiveness. So in case of the Sensation, a cover might just make things worse.
