Could be to do with Google Now?

GPS toggle on doesn't mean your GPS is always on it just means applications can use it. If you were constantly using GPS you wouldn't even get 13 hours :p

It's a sad day today. Last week I put my phone in the washing machine stupidly. After 5 days in rice, it kind of worked (powered on) but it fails to determine what the battery life is (so it jumps between 100%, 0%, 50%, 72%, etc). I sent it to samsung but they said the cost of repair is larger than the handset itself.

Guess I need to search for a new phone now. At least I'm on Giffgaff. What's the cheapest phone I can get which has tethering?

As I await the S4, I've breathed new life into my S2 by replacing Neat ROM and ICS Domination with Alliance ROM and downloading neon red icons so that most of the phone is red on black - something I've wanted for ages.

All because the modem was annoying me on Sunday morning and I made a mistake. Tried flashing an updated ROM but made an error that caused my phone memory to get used up by a temporary file that I couldn't find to delete, thereby leaving me unable to install new apps until I flashed and factory reset the phone - oops!

Thankfully it worked out well in the end :)

Ok guys, since the time change last night, my phone obviously auto updated to the correct time, but my accu weather widget still shows the time one hour behind.

The refresh button doest sort the problem and I've looked in the widgets settings options, any idea how I get it to display 6:32pm rather than 5:32pm?

Reboot the phone for all widget problems for anyone who still has this issue.

Anyone had their USB port messing about with the charging and battery blinking? Luckily it was an easy fix by using a toothbrush and some air can dusting had to open the whole back case though to check it out. Is this a common problem?

2 pcb's failed on me.. common problem for sure :) replaced both of them, you got off lightly tbh! :) its good that they 7quid each.. afaik the ones in s3 are connected to main board so it would cost a load more.

Yep, USB is very flaky at best when connected to the PC. Took me about an hour to get it to connect to flash through ODIN at one point and it now only charges at 500mah so takes little longer.

As I rarely use USB and charge overnight it's never been a problem. If it becomes a problem then I'll grab a new USB board off ebay as they cost peanuts
