The RX Vega 56 Owners Thread

I mean.. maybe it'll work but these things pull quite a bit. If you have the proper cabling / psu to giver each input it's own line I definitely would.

Corsair provided two of those daisy chain cables. Should I plug both and just leave one of the ends hanging or buy a single 8pin end?

Dang.. when you pull up the ddu in safe mode before you click anything and it shows the list of devices it's found, you only see one gpu from amd right? if you see anything from intel or nvidia (for whatever reason) make sure you go through the ddu process on all of them. Or is this a fresh install of windows?

I RMA'd my Pulse today because of those artifacts. Let's hope they will replace and give me a working one (unless it's a different piece that's broken, then I'm screwed).

Finally upgraded to Vega 56 from an MSI R9 290X Lightning LE (beast of a card). The Red Dragon is a bit noisy but this one clocks nicely on both the core and HBM2. Very happy with it! :D

Welcome and on TROH.:)

To get on the Roll of Honour all you have to do is post a pic with your user name on it of your Vega 56.

Cheers, Kaapstad!

This Red Dragon has Samsung memory and my wife's Sapphire Pulse has SK Hynix, they both go to 980MHz stable on the HBM. Couldn't believe the performance uplift from upping the memory frequency alone!

EDIT: Samsung, not Samung lol

I'm using Afterburner and have taken 100mV off the core. It stays under 65°c on the stock fan curve, around 55°c with a custom fan curve set to 50% speed minimum.

Going to try and stick to wattman and not install MSI AB as I've read people have had nothing but issues with vega and MSI AB for clocking
