The Updated X2 3800+ Overclocking Thread ...

Hi, just saw this and thought i'd add some of my data to it.

I'm afraid i no longer own this CPU, having sold it to a buddy of mine so i could buy Conroe, but might help someone (plus i like showing off).

It's an Athlon X2 3800 (funnily enough) stepping LDBHE 0601 UPMW. Cooled by a custom water kit with a 120.3 rad, but also cooling the graphics. This was the highest i could bench it at, but i could screenshot it at 3.2ghz.

^^ Max Pi, voltage is accurate.

EDIT
Ram was 260mhz 2-2-2-5 with 3.5v

TABLE UPDATE

Cuscus97 ... I'm looking to get a water setup in about a month. Probably a 120.3, like that setup you've posted. I know you don't have it any more but can you remember the temps you were getting with it? Also, what did you run the CPU at 24/7? Thanks!

Mine seems to be clocking a bit higher after using it for a week :D

Still can't reach 2600, but 2550 is working well at the moment, will start upping it in 10mhz increments then post my max stable on my board, reckon I can reach 2570 or there abouts

Great table, really useful when clocking.
These are the results I got when doing a build for a mate :

CPU Clock: 2650Mhz
HTT: 265
RAM FSB: 265 (1/1 divider or 200 in bios)
Timings: 3-4-4-8 1T 2.65V ( 2x1GB Mushkin XP4000-Black )
VCore: 1.485V
HT: 4x
Core: Toledo / stepping - 0601 ( forget the rest LDBHE I think! OEM though )
Cooling: TT Big Typhoon
Mobo: Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe
Case LIan LI PC7B Plus II dual 120mm stock fans plus 80mm amber in top.

100% stable for 4 months running windows x64.

Here's what I'm on after a few days of playing around with settings.

CPU Clock: 2700Mhz
HTT: 300
RAM FSB: 193
Timings: 2.5-3-3-10 1T
VCore: 1.6V
HT: 3x
Core: Manchester
Cooling: Thermalright XP-90
Mobo: MSI NEO2 Platinum

Clicky for pic

Stepping is LDBHE 0601 UPMW (shock) batch #1035

CPU Clock: 2900Mhz
HTT: 200
RAM FSB: 263
Timings: 3-4-3-8 1T
VCore: 1.52V
HT: 4x
Core: Manchester
Cooling: DD TDX
Mobo: DFI SLI-D

Have max speed CPU-z shots somewhere around 3.2ghz same voltage/cooling, appear to have lost them though. She needs sticking under the SS sometime soon too ;)

That would be 05. The first two are the production year (05 = 2005) and the second two are the week (here, its 38).

I'll make an update later on. Thanks for the input everyone! :)

Update: This is my final overclock, 2560 hangs under load. (on this board at least, with it's limited voltage)

CPU Clock: 2550Mhz
HTT: 255
RAM FSB: 212.5
Timings: 2-3-2-6 2T 2.7V
VCore: 1.4V
HT: Set To Auto?
Core: Manchester
Cooling: Scythe Ninja with silent Yate Loon fan
Mobo: Dual-Sata2

I reckon this chip would do 2800 at 1.5v looking around the net, I am happy with it's current speed on 1.4V though
