Heres a newbie question for y'all, how do i change from 2T to 1T??? i take it its an option in the RAM settings in BIOS but would it have another name cos i can't see it anywhere?! :confused:

Holy thread hijack. Browse the bios, I got the same mobo yesterday and found the option quick enough.:o

I have bought Mr.Mister's Mach II and I have a X2 3800 and hopefully a better clocking one on the way - I haven't got very far with it as my motherboard has died taking a Gig stick of Geil and a stick of Corsair XMS of my friends that he doesn't know I borrowed yet. :(

Mach 2GT?

Same mobo as me too. I sense a challenge. ;)

lol its not a thread hijack at all its a related question to the x2 3800, i just thought it would better than starting yet another "Hi noob question alert x2 3800" thread. You could just tell me, as you know the answer.

hmm perhaps you could add another colomn to the table with maybe a superpi score then u can see how much an over clock improves the time, i for sure would like to no what 2.6 gets or high , to compare to mine

but, just s suggestion

Its hard mate as Ram plays such a big factor., It would mean faster clocks will be getting beaten by faster/tighter ram etc etc.

I like the idea, but it would be too hard to actually get the information really. Most of the data in the table was compiled from the other 3800+ thread. To actually get people to post (and some have left / been banned anyway) all their Pi times would be a mission. That's quite apart from the RAM speed and timings etc.

However, this has been mentioned before, so we'll see what other people say :)

I couldn't help you there.. don't have the chilly1 anymore..

I think superpi times are a bit irrelevant anyway, so many tweaks give it a leg up its as much down to the tweaking power as the cpu power.

ok been having a go with my 3800 got it to:

CPU Clock: 2600Mhz
HTT: 260
RAM FSB: 187
Timings: 3, 3, 6, 7 CAS2 1T (Corsair PC3200 C2PT)
VCore: 1.4V
HT: 4x
Core: Manchester
Cooling: Therm SI-120 and 120mm Delta
Mobo: DFI Lan Party Ultra-D

super pi in 34 secs

temps

CPU = 28 idle 38 load
System = 38 idle 41 load

Gonna test full stability tomorow, i noticed that everyone over 2.5ghz is running on 3x HT, is it ok to be running on 4x still?

I was knocking off 2 seconds for every 100mhz increase. Is 34 seconds any good?

You should be running at 3x HT Multi now...

FSB x HT Multi <= 1000

... as a rule
