Thx Devrij, just watched the video and had a quick look at the beginners questions on ukvapours.org.
Will have a proper read tonight.
My missus is very sceptic about this, so i am have to try and justify the startup costs.
How many ml a day would an average person use?

I go through about 2ml a day, and I'd say that's about average-heavy use.

I mix my own and just bought enough supplies to make 500ml for about £40. That'll do me for most of a year. I can always pick up new flavour concentrates for £5 and mix those up too. When you're just getting started it makes sense to keep it simple and buy premade, but you have that potential saving ahead of you too.

Bout 2ml a day here too, though it's worth noting that some devices chew through juice more than others for a similar experience, I've found anyway. The Vision V3 I sometimes use really burns it, Boge cartos not so much at all.

Devrij, I'm going to send you a trust mail about something

Very true, my nova seems to go through it very quickly, whereas the carts were less thirsty. Replied btw.

Devrij, Sorry to be bugging you but you seem very knowledgable in this department, Ive had a read but just to clear this up.

I purchased the starter kit Vision eGo as linked here (http://www.ecigwizard.com/electronic-cigarette-starter-kits/starter-bundle/standardbundle.html) Now where I put the juice on this model is it classed as a tank? And also when I purchased it recommended me to purchase as linked (http://www.ecigwizard.com/electronic-cigarette-starter-kits/vision-ego/ce5-v3.html) What would the advantages be of purchasing the CE5 V3? Also I believe that is the part I would need to replace every 3/4 Week Is that true?

Also what method does this particular starter kit use "dripping" ? I believe not but I am unsure.

That's been answered pretty comprehensively for you there! There are lots of different atomisers out there in various formats. It's predominantly a matter of preference as to which is best for you. Tanks are beginner friendly, but occasionally have wicking problems (burnt taste), cartomisers are very easy to use, but wear out quickly, and some people like to use basic atomisers and drip liquid straight onto it. I think that's a right PITA though. If you want to try something different then the smok dual coil cartomisers I linked earlier are one of my favourites

Im expecting it to arrive Wednesday/Thursday at the latest., Will let you know how I go on, Thanks for that I have a much better understanding now really do appreciate that, 1 last question dare I ask! When ordering Cartomizer's what resistance should I be buying? Lowering having what effect? Higher having what effect? thanks.

Low resistance = higher current at the same voltage = hotter coil = more vapour/throat hit

Also uses more battery. High resistance tends to last longer due to more twists in the heating coil, but doesn't burn as hot. It's a preference thing.

Sorry I should have been a tad more specific. I'm looking to buy the body and a battery/charger.

What kind of budget do you have? If you want to go cheap, the lavatube is a great entry level piece of kit, or you could pick up an ego twist for even less.

If you want to go higher end, then you have the Vamo (linked a page or so ago)

The batteries for the Lavatube/Vamo are 18650 (with no nipple on them). You'll usually get a charger with them if you get a kit.

My wife and I are going to give this a go.

A friend of a friend can get this double packs for £20 £25 and £35

My friend said that there Chinese imports so it's got me thinking should I give these a miss and go to my local shop or should I get them and just buy the juice from my local?

Edit. Just drove past the shop near me and it's called vapeescape. So if I do give these chinese ones a miss what would be my best buy for around 30 quid each?

You're lucky to have vapeescape near you! I'd pop in there and see if you can try out some different devices to find one that suits you both (maybe a few different flavours too). Generally speaking the disposables are pretty rubbish. £35 would set you up with a kit that would last you a year, and all you'd need to buy would be liquid and replacement atomisers.

Ye I think I better just go in. It's only a two min walk from my house. I thought you just put the liquid in and away you go

It is that simple :) You have to charge the batteries of course, but a kit with two batteries means this is never an inconvenience. The atomisers (the bit that heats the liquid into a vapour) do wear out after a few weeks, and different types have different benefits in terms of how harsh a hit they give or how much vapour, so you will want to try a few to find out which suits your preferences. They're very cheap to replace anyway.

I understand now, Gonna try inbetween Low and High, so the inbetween Ohm option.

The Vision Ego Starter kit I ordered what Ohm resitance does that come with does anyone know and also what MG Juice? Lack of details on product description and it hasn't arrived just yet.

Which Cartomizer should I go with there's 5 Boge 10's for £6 that seems cheap?

What 510's would I be better off buying which are more than half decent and would they fit the Vision eGo.

Sorry if it seems like im repeating questions, once I get my hands on it im sure ill be fine!

There are a lot of proponetns of the boge cartos for their cheapness and effectiveness, although I haven't tried them myself. I like the smok mega dual coil (2 x 1.5ohm coils) cartos, but they are a bit pricier than the boge cartos (I get mine from e-cig wizard). Maybe pick up a pack of boge and a couple of the smok mega DC and see which you prefer?

I wouldn't worry too much about resistances of coils and things just yet, but I suspect the vision ego clearos will be about 2.4Ohm. You'll end up worrying about battery chemistries and other stuff soon! I see another person with shiny-itis in the making. All in good time :p

E: all 510/ego atties will fit those batteries. The ego fit atties with a skirt on them will look better, but they will perform the same as if they had a 510 fitting.

right it came today and I'm more than satisfied :D

The ego T atomizer is wack though, I've gone of their products but the Hyper 4 is amazing. I wish these things came with manuals how to fill them as I had to just guess.

I've upgraded to firmware 1.2 and left the evic on charge now, but had a cheeky vape with the juice and vaper was dense and thick, just how I like it.

However the juice is totally wrong (24mg) is too strong. I think there is a shop in Stockport which is close enough to me so I hope I can try out some juices.

But in the meanwhile Devrij which do you recommend as getting to a brick and mortor shop will be a difficult this week, so I'll order something online?

Cheers

If 24mg is too strong try 11mg or 18mg depending on how overpowering 24mg was for you. I mix mine up at about 12mg myself, although I miss the throat hit 18mg used to give :(

Any preference in flavours?

So if I order this VH star kit, what else do I need to start vaping?

Just some juice of my choice?

Yep :) I'm a big fan of the totally wicked gold standard liquids. They're very realistic (their real tabs liquid is a nice sweet "freshly opened marlboro packet smell" taste, but their fruity stuff is bang on)

No preference in flavours, I used to like watermemlon back in the day. I've just been advised that I can dilute my juice with glycerin BP which should lessen the throat hit.

I would rock some totally wicked honeydew melon, which is just awesome.

I don't want to spend a lot as I've already got a fair amount of kit but I'm more interested than anything else in the variable voltage mahoosive devices, I like my toys. So if I could get everything for around £60 then job's a goodun. I'm happy to add to that if needs be, I do like the look of the lavatube but the red and black website is laid out pretty poorly and it hurts my eyes so I refuse to look on there.

You could get the lavatube and everything else inside that budget. Although, you could almost get a Vamo if you stretched a bit further [/devilonshoulder]

The lavatube is a good piece of kit and a nice step up from the fixed voltage batts (I loved mine). The only thing they really lack compared to pricier alternatives is build quality.

ecigwizard seem a bit pricey for a lavatube http://www.ecigwizard.com/mods/variable-voltage/lavatube/

if you can't find one cheaper (beware of cheap knockoffs) then I would suggest picking up a couple 18650 IMR high drain batts (£12 on ecigwizard) and a Vamo from the horrible red and black site I got mine from for £32 (the stainless one is dearer, but for your budget the others are fine), then pick up a charger for another £5 and you're done.

Check this video below for the Evod BCC, as for lasting longer, i wouldnt say they last longer than others out there to be honest, they will last a good while before you need to replace the heads or rebuild them (video below), ive had 1 head going for 2 weeks now, and its still performing quite well, overall you cant go wrong with the setup, the atomiser (top part) is a solid performer and the batteries as i say are basically eGo batteries and again are proven to be mostly reliable.

Edit- one thing you will have to do, is clean out the top battery connection and the bottom of the atmoiser from time to time, as the condensation drips back down to the connector, not a major issue, do it when it needs filling and be careful not to overfill them, becasue when you screw it together again the pressure sometimes forces it down the center tube.

Most atties have that issue, especially cartos. You'll know it needs a quick wipe with a tissue (or in my case my t-shirt:p) because you might hear a bubbling/gurgling sound when you draw on it. It's a simple matter of unscrewing and wiping any juice that's leaked down from the threaded area.

Let us know how you get on with the evod cjgardens, looks a beast!

Yep :) I'm a big fan of the totally wicked gold standard liquids. They're very realistic (their real tabs liquid is a nice sweet "freshly opened marlboro packet smell" taste, but their fruity stuff is bang on)

is their stuff usable as normal straight away as it comes? it seems to say concentrate which makes me think it needs diluting?

Oh dude, you're right. I could have sworn they came as premix as well. My bad! Yeah, you'd need to pick up some PG/VG and nicotine to mix it with.

The red label premix liquids are made with the gold standard concentrates, after some investigation I found, so you could try those.
If you want a good premixed tobacco, House of liquid do an awesome tobacco liquid in their El Toro range called El Cigarillos, which has a very leafy tobacco taste that is just excellent.

Everything else I use is DIY mix so I can't really comment on any other stuff. I'm sure the other guys will have some good recommendations though.

Will do. Going to start tomorrow. Got a few normal fags left.

Has anyone tried the refresher bar juice? The guy in the shop was testing it and let the wife try it she said it was really nice.

Ill see how I get on and then start trying different flavours

Can you just mix them up to make other flavours or does that not work?

You can mix premade liquids (eg coffee and caramel work well), but it's better to use flavour concentrates so you can be more flexible with your mixing, and it's a lot cheaper that way too.

Some flavours are delicious, but don't suit an all day vape (like eating cake for every meal). You'll have a period of trial and error ahead there until you find what you like, so get 10ml bottles until you find your "all day vape" and then just try things out when you feel like a change.

I smoked my bedtime rollie for a month or so and vaped for the rest of the day. There's no set way to do it really. I just thought I would vape every time I wanted a smoke, and if I still really really wanted a smoke I'd have one. I found that as long as I vaped first I never really needed the cigarette. Other people just jump straight onto the e-cig and never look back. Just find what works for you.

Just got some of those Tornado dual-coil jobbies. Not getting on with them though.
I filled one with 40 or so drops of El Cigarillos and let it stand, but it vapes with a flavour of burned plastic. Do they take a while to bed in?

Are you on about the tanks?

I always had issues with them either not wicking well enough (you usually need to give a few dry pulls on it to get things moving) or flooding.

If you're on about the cartos I always harp on about, then you need to fill them with loads of liquid (don't get it down the hole in the middle, drip down the side) until they look moist on top and it doesn't soak away quickly (the first time you do it can take a few minutes because the wick is denser when they're new) or until liquid drips out the bottom (too much!). I once made the mistake of dumping loads in, thinking it was full and then puffing away only to get a burnt taste. It takes a while to soak through so keep topping it up until one of the above happens.

Ah right. Those are basically rebranded smok mega dual coil cartos. Follow the steps for filling them the first time. Sounds like you underestimated how much they hold!

Drip down the side, let it soak in, drip down the side, let it soak in. Repeat until it either doesn't soak in or leaks out the bottom (if you're quick you can catch the extra back in the bottle ;) ) It does take a couple minutes to soak through the whole wick, but once that first fill is done you only need to top them up and they'll never burn dry on you.

I'm still trying to get my head round all this. So can anyone help, what site is best for everything?
i.e easy refillable e-ciggs that look like ciggs and great juice?

Getting my head around overclocking was easier then this :)

I get most of my miscellaneous gear from e-cig wizard, vapourhut or totally wicked e-liquid (if they have a yoyo sale on something good or to buy flavour concentrates). Why is it important to have something that looks like a cigarette? I find the cig-alikes tend to have poor battery life/performance, but if you're set on one then the Tecc kits are decent from what I've heard. As for juice, it's mostly preference, but the house of liquid el cigarillos is the most realistic tobacco juice I've ever tried.

Can you get the vv vamo kit anywhere? The unit batteries and charger are working out pretty costly! :(

I've never seen a kit with it, but if you pick up the body here
http://www.vapingthings.com/VAMO_VV_VW_BODY/p1311952_8181025.aspx

2 x batteries here
http://www.ecigwizard.com/mods/vari.../aw-18650-1600mah-imr-high-drain-genuine.html

and charger here
http://www.ecigwizard.com/accessories/bc/chargers/trustfire-multifunction-charger.html

it comes to about £67-£70

When drawing I get the odd slurp very slightly once ive not used it for a while, How do I stop this I presume theres a light leakage?

Some atties do this (my cartos do if overfilled). Just unscrew the attie and wipe it (and the battery threads) off with a bit of tissue or cloth. Should sort it out for you.

Yeah sorted Devrjj, Thanks! Not gonna fill it to the max in future... Anyone experience abit of slight lightheaded ness when first vaping? It soon wears off once having stopped do you think thats the nicotine? 18mg atm, too high for me ordered some Watermelon and Blueberry in 6MG.. Hope they arrive Thursday/Friday as Im sure that will suit me more.. Or does it generally take some getting used to?

Yeah I get that if I mix a batch a bit too strong. You can either a) continue to vape that strength and you'll adjust to it in a few days, or b) go for a lower strength. the 6mg should be fine, or perhaps something inbetween like 11mg :)

That's a bit more helpful (ecigwizard) and I'll have to look at the vamo too as I don't like poor build quality and it's not really worth getting cheap crap if you're going to be using it every day.
Thanks for the help! :)

No worries, I posted some links for Mike a few posts above this with links to batteries/chargers/etc. I have to say the Vamo is a really nice piece of kit. Has a real weight to it that feels nice in the hand. I will have to pick up a small battery to run it in mini mode though, because it's a bit big for nights out

Yeah I smoked lighter cigs and 18mg is too much for me, Will try out 6mg If thats too light ill try find 8/10/12! Dunno what some companies do inbetween.

Liking it though smoke free since yesterday, since I started vaping.. few reasons I have to quit so hopefully I can do it.. Out later will be the big test.

Let us know how you get on :) Maybe take the 18mg with you if you need a real whack when you're out.

Sorry to ask more things..BUT

I have found the EGO-T CE5 STAINLESS STEEL STARTER KIT 900MAH
http://www.vapeland.co.uk/ego-t-ce5-stainless-steel-starter-kit-900mah-218-p.asp

Now that looks like a nice starter kit but has anyone used vapland? it's run from a house.
Can't find the same kit for the price anywhere else.
Also guys\gals I really need to get everything from one place.

That's a good price for the bigger batteries (they look like the standard 650mah batts in the picture though?). I haven't used them myself, so I can't comment on the site.

Right, I decided that I really like vaping so I'll invest in better kit.

I just bought:
Vamo VV VW Body
2 x 18650 Sanyo batteries
Nitecore i4 v2 charger
Mini phoenix rebuildable atomiser

I have one of the phoenix rebuildables already and am using it with my eGo batts. It's really good and gives good flavour with the drip tip.

Nice! I think you'll be surprised at the difference when you crank up the volts/watts. I use mine in wattage mode exclusively, it's just easier :) First time I went VV I actually had to drop my nic concentration because of all the extra vapour it was producing!

I still use my ego batts when I'm out on a night out, but it always feels like they're running out of juice. 3.7V just doesn't do it for me anymore.

E: make sure you get decent high drain batts. Makes all the difference.
