Okay, I have 3 drippers to choose from: Igo-l, Igo-w, imortaliser, or I just get an ithica clone.

Which would you choose to go on a nemesis clone?

I mean from the content of the 'third party' websites selling the vapour, not the whole tobacco vs ecig discussion. The e-cig website is quite public, in high street shops and so on.

Where as these websites which sell the 'advanced e-cig' versions (which looking is cheaper than e-cig) make their own vapour?

I'm simply questioning how you trust the content of the vapour. (As I said, I imagine due to e-cig being on the high street and so on they've had some extensive testing to be given the go ahead to be in high street stores).

A lot of us mix our own liquids so we know exactly what's in them. The device itself shouldn't be a real concern, and you can source uk made liquids quite reasonably if you are worried about product regulation.

OK i have gone from pretty much decided on a Innokin SVD for the wife's Christmas present to now being stuck between a choice of 5. Which one is the best?

Innokin SVD
Vamo V4/V5
Sigelie Zmax V3
Smoketech SID
Tesla

Will be used with Kanger Pro Tank 2 and the new Aspire BDC.

Big fan of my SVD compared to my vamo v2 if that helps. Just feels better built.

Right then, I ordered the wife the Innokin SVD kit along with a Nightcore i2 Intellicharger. Next thing is, what batteries do I need to get for this? IMR or ICR? Flat top or Button top, or does it not matter? Going to get a pair of 18350's for out and about use, and a pair of 18650's for use at home.

flat tops, IMR. I like the SVD in mini mode a lot, but I would go through two 18350s in a full day (one while I'm at work, another when I get home that lasts until I leave for work), so I tend to save that for nights out. 18650 is the way forwards. Just remember to keep the tube threads clean (I just wipe any crap out with a paper towel every month or so) to stop them becoming points of resistance.

Can someone recommend where to start for vaping zero % nicotine flavours? Non smoker and don't have a clue about this at all, willing to spend the money to get something decent and from the right place as I've read the stories on here about exploding batteries et all :p

Out of curiosity, why do you want to start vaping if you don't smoke? Do keep in mind that vaping is not 100% risk free, although compared to smoking it's much safer.

Exploding batteries are usually down to cheap chargers, but it does seem to be the cheap ego batteries from China that tend to go.

Most major uk vendors will stock zero nic liquid, but you could always mix your own if you can't find a particular flavour you want. All you need is some VG and PG to mix with your flavouring and away you go (lots of guides out there for that).

Yes I'm aware it isn't 100% safe but it is a lot safer than smoking which I do on the odd occasion when out, but I've been buying a fair few 'e-shishas' regularly and enjoy it whilst on the PC, so basically that would be the reason.

Also when they are empty I still seem to have the hand to mouth addiction with them if that makes any sense.

EDIT: Has their actually been proper research into the risks of vaping? I'm under the assumption 0% nicotine stuff is going to be the safest?

There certainly has, but because it's a comparitively new product it's hard to gauge if there are any long-term effects. So far, it's generally regarded as "magnitudes safer than smoking", which is good enough for me.

As a night-out tool, I think it makes good sense (someone I work with does the same to stay off the fags, but doesn't vape otherwise). For that I would suggest a simple Ego battery and mini protank atomiser combination. Will easily last the night if you get a 950mah battery, while still being small and light enough to fit comfortably in your pocket while you cut some rug on the dance floor.

Cheers

I'd likely use it somewhat daily at the PC too, would you still recommend the same ?

Also any particular website you'd suggest?

http://innovapours.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&path=17&product_id=3 Would this do?

http://www.cloudatlasvaping.com/collections/kits This place looks alright, the vaping guide seems quite good

I would suggest this
http://vapourhut.com/e-cigarette kit/VH-Star-Kit

and then pop a mini protank on it when the CE5s wear out.

Still good for all day vaping, but you may want something with more kick later on.

I'm going to have a problem soon. Going traveling soon in east asia and not going to be able to bring my vaping kit with me.

Are they banned in east Asia?

Just letting you all know about my experience with Myepack. Yesterday i ordered a Innokin SVD kit (£49.99 only a tenner more than slowtech) and a Nitecore i2 Intellicharger (£12.99). I chose the free delivery option and it only went and turned up this morning!! Fantastic service and what a quality bit of kit the SVD is. The wife is going to love it.

Good stuff! Sometimes Slowtech isn't worth the wait. Sometimes it is though (counts down until Nemesis clone arrives) :D

That kit looks solid Purdy. When you choose liquids, keep in mind that most tobacco liquids don't taste much like a cigarette. I would recommend a good menthol liquid though (even if you never smoked menthols) for nights out.

Where are you guys getting your Nic base these days? I'm finally running towards the end of a huge batch I bought 6 months ago, so it's time to stock up!

What's everyone's thoughts on kicks btw? There's that one for £8 on slowtech, which I have seen in the flesh, so to speak (it's so small!). It seems to me like you're losing the whole point of a mech by incorporating one, or just highlighting the fact that mechs are fundamentally flawed.

I spend virtually nothing. If you are prone to shiny-itis, then it's easy to buy new stuff, but the last thing I bought before the Nemesis clone the other day was a few flavour concentrates a few months ago, and before that a few quid on a spool of wire. My last big outlay was either my SVD (£25 :eek!:) or when I stocked up on VG, PG and nic base, which was nearly 6 months ago at £50. So I do quite well. Vaping is most definitely cheaper, even considering that I smoked about £60-£80 worth of rollies a month.

That's brutal news milky. Hope it gets sorted.

RE the RSST reducer, i fashioned something similar and got a really warm vape from it. I think a bigger airhole would have complemented it well.

righty ho, I have a nemesis clone on the way and using unprotected panasonic 18650 batteries and ultrafire 18350 batteries. Do I need to grab some awr/imr branded protected batteries for these?

Would also like to know this, as I am in the exact same boat. Except I have efest 18350s

Yep, and because it's a mech mod, no variable voltage (but less stuff between the battery and coil) and no minimum resistance for the coil. It's not a "screw on an atty and it'll blow your mind" device. You need to know why you want it to get it going great.
