The Witcher 2 - Thread

I am somewhat confused.
I preordered the GOG version, predownlaoded, then this evening completed the install.
now on the witcher login screen, i registered to get dlc and content, and one option was to download the english voiceovers.
I thought this strange as i thought they would have been included, so thought it best to grab them before i started played, downloaded the 921mb, and then it started to verify or install, and now it appears to be starting the exact same 921mb download again.

Anyone else get that?

How big is the collector's edition i ordered one but didn't turn up today and the post put a card in the door sayng there is a packet at the post office I'll have to collect :/ worry G*me have done there trick again and charged me for collector's edition and set me normal one again i'll have a right go at them if they have
 
If your having problems with the codes try changing the 0 (zero) for O (letter). I had the same problem and this sorted it.
As for the combat it's damn hard, died so many times just trying to control the ballista at the start. It seems that you need to learn to pace yourself with the combat, get used to it's flow and you find combos/parries/signs/evading all happen with ease. I tried forcing the combat into a faster pace that i wanted and i died a lot, as soon as i slowed down it became a little easier.

BTW after you sort out the Ballista have a look around, Geralt makes a comment on something he see's. made me chuckle. :)
 
Anyone know if there is a storage option in witcher 2? I'm in flotsam but cant seem to find it and the innkeeper doesnt have the option. Did they remove it?

Crafting materials are taking up like 200 weight points :(

they should ban 0s from serial nos !!

'Actually its a Known BUG in 270.61, if you have the 3D vision driver installed Witcher 2 will run at 7 to 10 FPS on ALL settings, tested this myself.
Uninstall 3D Vision and it will work fine!'

Got it working, as the chap above said zeros are O's. Seriously they look like zeros!!!

Anyway the CE is amazing. I tend to only get them now for big epic PC RPGS. It's a large box about 30cm wide and 10cm tall.

Very impressed with it, overall it came in good nick aside from a few minor scuffs. The contents are pretty good the Geralt statue is pretty cool, made from plaster and not a cheap plastic!
 
Im on normal and Im ABSOLUTELY crap, ive died 6 times on just getting to the ballista. Lol. I gotta work out the combat, i get my ass handed to me.
 
:mad:now I can't redeem the DLC, tried various interpretations of the Promo code!!!

I have never in my life of entering codes had so much trouble!!
