The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Bit late to the game, no pun , how do I complete the griffin quest? There's no marker on the map

Any tweaks I should be using. Or mods please? Running crossfire and glad to haven the flickering had gone after an AA tweak!

Are you at the stage to kill it? if so you run outside and over to the open area.

Thanks glanza but ignore me. Talking through my balloon knot! Already killed it.

I can't get used to the combat at all... any tips? always seem to be killed, my block/counterattacking is shocking.

Edit: running the enhancedweather, immersive hud, ultra gore and weightmod.. yet to see any storms though! still only in the first town mind you.

Dodging is your friend. Rely more on that than blocking. It'll set you up for an attack more often than not. Rolling shouldn't be used unless you're getting swarmed and need to get a bit of breathing room.

Also use your Witcher abilities regularly. Force push can open up enemies to attack or even knock them down, where they can be one-shot killed. Fire attack can also open up enemies to attack. Both are good on groups of enemies and to ward them off for a moment or two. Other abilities are also useful, but these are particularly good early on for offensive purposes. Oh, and use the shield ability for boss battles. Will save your butt more often than not.

Thanks dude :)

Is there any button for one-shot kill / finishing move or is it automatic? Can't remember from the tutorial at the start of the game.

I always find that pretty random. Sometimes you press the attack button and you get a one hit kill, other times you just have to keep pressing until you kill them.

What sort of builds do you guys use?

I tend to go for armour and weapons that offer better stats and more slots. Tbh, most of the weapons and armour are pretty crap. Even the silver sword you get from helping the elven swordsmith, is meh.
Points I tend to put most of them in my signs. These I chop and change, depending on who or what I am fighting. A select few go in alchemy and weapon attack speed and strength.

Yeah, signs make combat more fun than simply rolling/blocking/quick-attack-spamming. I also mix and match signs, sometimes checking the bestiary, sometimes based on what feels most fun :)

Holding the attack buttons activates special attacks (rend/whirl etc)

Aard seems a little overpowered sometimes when it knocks everyone over and you just jump in and skewer 'em! Still fun though.

Just looking for a little help. Recently started to play witcher 3. Great game so far but only problem is both my cards don't run right. Maxed out gpu1 runs at 80% usage and GPU 2 90% at 1440p. So loosing 30% GPU power. Not a CPU bottleneck either. Anyone experienced any similar issues? Seems only to be with this game.

Anyone knows where I can get the Witcher 3+DLC cheaper than Steam? Looking for Steam codes only, no GOG. I found it on CJS-keys at a decent price but I have heard so many bad things about them..

just finished heart of stone, amazing expansion, I read literally every piece of dialogue i could :D by far my favorite game of the year so far, nothing comes even remotely close for me :) The second I got the first ending I re loaded so I could get the second :D time for new game plus now woooo!

Finished heart of stone last night.
Wow! 20 hours or so it took me. Games like tomb raider and hitman took about the same! This is the gaming standard now. Superb.

Is there any simple way to change from GoG client to Steam? So it's in my steam library? And not by adding none steam game, actually access my games key and activate it in steam.
